If it was too hard, kick up the difficulty level to Hard. =P |

A great game, Bob. Well done! ;) I haven't been able to finish it yet, let along capture too many settlements, but it is very creative and challenging. Well done again![Edited on 07/30/06 @ 12:14 AM]

Ohh, darnit! I wish I could get this, but it won`t fit on a floppy disk and my home computer has no internet! If there is like a way to get it down to like 1.3-1.4 MB I would appreciate that... btw does it include sound files? If it does I can get it, if not I can only stare at the screenies and wish... |

Alright, this is my first review so bear with me here...
Playability: 5
Well, what can I say. There are no errors of any kind (except once I got 3 rams with + 120 attack on them for some reason. I think it glitched when orleans fell) and the gameplay is top notch. All units counter each other splendidly in standard AoK:TC fashion, and not only that but the cities are almost all completely balanced for the factions. One little problem is that the french have a serious lack of bowmen producing cities, and can capture a city that allows them to produce elite longbowmen. Other than that, splendid and well thought out gameplay.
Balance: 5
This map is one of the most balanced of its kind. The burgundians get their traditional crossbows and such, and the english get their longbows (except as said above when you capture one of their longbow cities). The french do seem to have an accute lack of bowmen producing cities, but that does not subtract from this map`s frantic pace and balance. The game is balanced to the point where if you leave for 3 minutes you end up losing a castle because the player is not there to counteract the AI`s attacks.
Creativity: 4
Well, there have been RISK style games before but the reason this category is a 4 and not a 3 is because of how well this author pulled off the gameplay. The unit recruitment and territories were all well put together and balanced, and thus this risk style game earns itself a 4 out of 5 for creativity.
Map Design: 5
This map is gorgeous. There really isn`t anything else to be said. While some of the rivers are a bit misplaced such as the Seine on which Paris sits, and a few cities misplaced this can be forgiven through artistic license.
Story/Instructions: 4
This is where the scenario fell a tiny bit short. The instructions were clear and concise, and the story was historically based. The one element missing from these were more in depth gameplay tips and such. Normally this would not have been enough to warrant removal of a point, but in my opinion a map of this scale, difficulty, and balance really should come with some hints or something.
Additional Comments: Overall this is one of my favorite maps of all time in the non-rpg category. It is on par with Final Hour by Yogurt, and many of the other fine maps in this category and style. It is by far the best RISK style map out there, and I recommend downloading this scenario as soon as you possibly can. Delete some stuff from your hard drive if you have to, but this map is a must have. |

Good job KBVI, but it was VERY easy to win. |

I didn't think it was VERY easy, but never seeming to run short of finances did make me win within 10 minutes on Moderate.
Regardless, I still think it was a fun break from the standard AoC gameplay.[Edited on 08/03/06 @ 09:06 AM]

Good game,it's playable and there are no many new word for me so I can understand the scenario easily, haha:)
I suggest that the castle of player 1 should be owned by a computer player like the gray guy,or players can delete a burning castle when there's no enemy to "repair" it,but,it needs to change a lot of triggers...-.-;
However,it's realy a good game`~And I like it very much.I'll download the "Crusader" one in saveral days. |

There was too many against me. I had to torpedo the pinkys because no matter how hard i tried i couldn't gain any ground forever and was always on the edge of only 3 territories because the reds were getting free trebuchets and capped rams not to mention the killer Frankish Paladins.
Otherwise this is great and absolutely a fun type of gaming. I hope you make another but with more unique and different units including Mangudai's[Edited on 08/23/06 @ 05:57 AM]
