"Panga, his Neighbors and the Huns" is a half B&D- half FF 5 scenario campaign telling of how the Huns, the Orion Army, invaded european realms and changed their way of life. It is fictional but quite realistic in a sense.
Playability: This campaign was literally one of the most enjoyable ones I have played. While it starts out slow, by the 2nd scn it is already very addictive. The playability manages to reveal the best of the AoK campaigns. I give it a 4!
(A few bugs, little messy since using standard AI but overall great!)
Balance: This aread was ok. Could use some help from more complex AIs. But as long as you stick to the instructions there will be nothing really challenging you. I give it a 3.(In the first scn make it harder and not as long. Because that really is a boring scenario.)
Creativty: This part was hard to tell. It did not really have anything top of the line creative but the way it blended simple tricks to make it enjoyable was interesting. I must give it a 3.
(Bulding the bridge was quite creative, but most of the time this campaign resembled the official AoK campaigns.)
Map Design: This was a huge let-down. The blocks of trees, large grass fields, overuse of rocks and mountains and the 'empty' cities did not do the rest of the campaign justice! I give it a 2.
(Try using tiny brushes of trees, different grass brushes and more eye-candy)
Story/Instructions: This was also a unique part of the scenario. I rated it what I rated it because the instructions were simple, easy and very clear. If you followed them, they would be good for you. Although there was not much change in storyline and plot, the changes from an economical city to a military power were brilliantly captured. Definently good instructions and a interesting story. I give it a 4!
(I liked it, other may not but perhaps if you had a little more change of story like betrayals, assassinations and stuff like that the score would go up.)
+ Very clear instructions.
+ A lot of fun and long campaign.
+ An interesting story that tells how Orion changed your realm!
- Very bad and simple map.
- The 1st scn was a huge wait to get into action!!!
Well, I had a LOT of fun with this, and even though I admit the 1st scn was boring I suggest you try it and before you give up, cheat to get to the 2nd one... It is overall a good campaign that I can see myself playing it over for enjoyment!
