This is a [demo] of a campaign I\'m releasing of the fall of the roman empire. You play as many different sides of the story (huns, gauls, goths, byzantines) of that period. This scenario you play as the huns. While it falls short on eye-candy, creativity and so on it is a project I had planned way back when... can\'t surrely remember. But it follows the line of the standard games in AoK.
Hopefully it is not that hard... and a little enjoyable :-)
I did have a version BETA that was playtested but my [demos] usually gain more feedback.
"The Fall of the Roman Empire" is a campaign depicting the fall of Rome. Being only a demo, there was only one scenario.
Playability: This was overall pretty fun to play, but the ending was kind of anti-climactic. Also, there was a major bug that didn't let you win, even though you had completed all of the tasks.
Balance: This scenario was fairly easy to play, as he enemy's towns were small and not very well defended. The last town was the easiest to defeat, while it should probably have been the hardest. Adding some more sentries or defensive buildings would make the roman camp stronger, and would give the player a bigger challenge. On the whole, this scenario was a little easy.
Creativity: This scenario wasn't very creative, but did feature some nice things, such as the player being able to capture siege equipment, horses, etc. Making the tasks a little more elaborate would improve the creativity, and a few triggers tricks would also have been nice.
Map Design: This map was nice, but there was overall too much Grass 1, and would have looked better if more terrains were blended together. Other than that, this map was very nice and well done.
Story/Instructions: The story was nice, but the author should add some more history in the final version. Only a few paragraphs right now, it is about the Huns' migration west. The instructions were very clear and concise. They were easy to follow and understand.
Overall a solid scenario, this has plenty of room for improvement in the final.
