In bloodsport, there are 7 rounds of fighting, every 5 minutes. In between these you choose an army, by deleting units. The relic in front of a unit says it's gold price. After 5 minutes of choosing units, you have a round of fighting. After 7 rounds, the team (it's XvX) with the most wins wins the game.
It's a very simple map, almost anyone can get how to play it after a few rounds. However, there is much strategy in it. Getting an army that the enemy can't easily counter, outsmarting the enemy, and very heavy micromanagemnt.

Bloodsports is a new style of multiplayer gaming. You buy units from a shop to build up your army. You must think strategically to build the right army. Using only one strong type of unit works very rarely.
The game is a different style of gaming, and its fun and relaxing to try out a new type of multiplayer maps. The relaxation disappears however when you get going. You start with 2000 gold to build your army and you van choose on many different types of units. You have 5 minutes to build your army. You must think very strategically to win. Adapt yor forces to be able to beat any opposition by using many different units, or use hordes of cheap units to outnumber the enemy. Saboteurs are VERY expensive but can help you kill of the enemy totally. Combined with cheap soldiers, it can work great.
However, its a more slow style of playing and I'm not sure that all blood-fanataics would like it, because its more slowpaced. I do reccommend it to everyone that likes strategic thinking, but if you only want action, this might not be the game for you. Download it and try, thats the only way to find out ;)
As everyone has the exactly same opportunities to win, the game is as balanced as it can get. Whether you win or not, you get 2000 gold for your next round so that everyone has the same opportunities. This map is much more balanced than any bloodmap. Here its your strategic skills that make you win, not how many kills you've got and how strong units you have.
Well of course the units play part too, but its not the ONLY part as in some bloods out there.

I can only say that this is very creative. I've never seen anything like it. The way it concentrates on strategic opportunities is unique and you dont get tired of it quickly. The whole style is new and you're limited to ~40 minutes of playing, so you'll have to use your imagination under time-pressure.
Map Design: 4
The map is not the strongest part of the game. It is one of the best designs a blood has ever had however, with elevations and the author has actually give thoughts to the nature as many other designers dont do for bloods. There are three elements you can play in, grass, snow and desert. All three are realistic and well made, especially for being a blood.
However, the design is not outstanding. For being a blood its very good, but compared to many other designs its more medium-good. But I cannot give a 3, its one of the best blood designs I've seen, but I can still not give a full score. Therefor a 4
There is no story. The instructions are very simple and its really easy to understand what to do. When you get going nothing can stop you. It is so simple and easy to understand that everyone can play it, even my youngest brother and he's 7 years old! (and he cant read english, just a few words)
However, as there is no story, I cannot give it a full score. I still think that it deserves a high rating for the ease of the instructions.
But (yep, there is another but unfortunately) as Mashek reminded me of, the review guidelines sais that a map withour story can only get maximumly 3 for the instructions.
Therefor a 3
