A bug and a playability issue at the end. Godiva says to the right and up the hill. It took some time to trigger the next effect, what about any player 1 unit in the area and/or a larger area? I could not play to the end; the game discontinued going back to Godiva. After destroying the buildings I clicked the area on the mini map, which led through the maze without passing the 'wall opening', avoiding the effects in trigger 239 and nothing happened upon arrival. You should activate trigger 241 in trigger 238, not in 239. |

Thanks Tanneur:
I guess I just assumed everyone would walk back to that 'opening' and activate the Godiva trigger. I moved the activate trigger to the death of the Count to solve that problem and widened the other mentioned trigger at the cliff(thought about it when I was making it) If you want to complete it without redoing it all, it takes is a long walk back to the now 'closed' opening to start up the trigger sequence again...You are real close to the end

I am suprised with the small amout of time it took for you to make the Magus one and then, a month later, make something like this. It would probably take me a year to make something like this game. Then again, I am no expert, sooo, mabe I shouldn't be suprised. |

Thanks Dantares IV:~)
I actually started working on 'The Maze' before I released 'A Bloody Mess' because of the large size of the physical map(and I wasn't good enough with triggers yet to pull it off). 'MAGUS' did only take about a month. I think the speed comes from the procedeure. First comes an idea...then the 'Entire' physical map...then triggers...if you add triggers too early you're setting youself up to have to make corrections later on when you add/change something(causing more 'crashes'). Also, I save frequently...after two easy or one complex change...*Always* click on the 'Test' button. If it crashes you only have a little to re-do. That is probably the most important time saving rule of map making "Work with a 'clean' map"
Thanks for taking time to comment :~)
P.S. What did you think of 'MAGUS'

I'm not yet at the end of the maze, but from what I've seen it's very good. I especially like the little cameo. If no one else reviews this in the meantime I will. |

this is HUGE... played it for about 3 hours and i dont think i've even finished half of it.
I skipped great deal of the early part of the maze --- must have missed upgrades, got only two as yet. I've come to the part with the beach but there was nothing in that.. still heroes got healed walking around.what do u do with that huge pile of resources gathered??
really nice, creative (still very interesting even after much the same kind of fighting for a long time) every room has something different. |

The village is more for distraction...You don't need any resources in the game. The game is finishable without all the upgrades but the bosses are already pretty hard, you might need them...
Edit: The village also represents Haplo's people, who are trapped in the maze. This map is a tribute to one of my all time favorite book series by Margret Weiss and Tracy Hickmann, 'The Death Gate Cycle'[Edited on 07/29/07 @ 08:05 PM]

I simply do not understand why only a little under 100 have downloaded this game. By right, it should be pushing 200. |
