The Conquerors 1.0c |

Fixed Force |
You begin by entering straight into battle.. the action begins quickly so be ready to start. you only start with a few soldiers to defend your fort so place them wisely.
Ive tried to make this game more focussed on skill then strength.
It could probably alos be played as a multiplayer, if you adjusted the enemy force a tad.
Hope you enjoy it!

Very good. You got to play as a small army defending what seems like a hopeless battle...
Balance: 3
Looks like it's either can be hard or impossible.... It's not. Easy turtling with archers, you have a long time to pick off enemies... Still, It was a interesting battle
Creativity: 4
Good! I like turtle games :). For 5 you would need more like tricks and stuff
Map Design: 4
Fine, it works for the game. For 5 you would need some real eyecandy
Story/Instructions: 1
TERRIBLE! I had no idea what the victory idea was, and then after i defeated the attackers I ran a quick marco polo, saw a enemy fortress, scrolled my veiw over... was defeated for 'CHEAT'. Could have used a warning... Really nothing was said and you were just attacked with not storlyine or explanation.
Suggestions : Fix story/instructions. Maybe say " A siege was being held on the last survivers blaa blaa....". Give loss and victory conditions and strategy tips. Map design - just touch it up a bit more. Creativy - maybe quick cutscene or explosion or something a bit more interesting. Balance - make it a little harder, but dont make it be experts only match. Good work!!! Would love to see an update!! |

Wow! The first time I didn't realize the ram continualy gained in HPs. By the time I got around to trying to kill it, it had 15,000 HPs. Next time was better. Fun, small map. |

Yea.... ram was a little annoying :P also goes back to the idea of instructing the player the ram does that |

On my first try, I trained more units from the barrack but eventually it was fallen into the enemy's as its unit managed to enter the gate. I think the wise decision would be to attack the front enemies as soon as the game begin and train more units at the same time.
Balance: 2
The enemy can't built any units. (and I think don't multiply.) In no time, (actually a long time later) the player will be able to 'own' the game.
Creativity: 4
I like the gameplay. It retained the AoE feelings yet it looks like something new.
Map Design: 4
I must say that the mini-map looks quite good.
Story/Instructions: 1
I begin playing knowing that I have to defend the Keep (the title says it all). Maybe some story lines will make us(War Strategist) loyal to the orders.

Just noticed something... Tower at the end not a keep. Were you implying that you should defend your whole fortress? |

yes that was the general plan. Keep, as in the whole fotress. I suppose it might have been believed that i was implying that it was the toer that needed to be defended, but that was not the idea. |

Good game, but I found it next to impossible to destroy the ram. |

@ Dantares
I thot the same and then suddenly it was dead. When i looked at triggers it gets killed if it goes through the last gate.
@ Snack4Dinner
I hope u dont mind i re did this a bit. I removed indestructable ram and added a few siege weapons. Also added some archers. Add to eyecandy too. And I add instructions hints victory loss etc. I will most likely use it in my Arthur campaign, if you don't mind. Or I could just post it |
