The Last Battle for the Swamps is a campaign based on the last stand of Captain Navar and his hundred strong force. Their great pride makes it so that there is no way that they will ever surrender. They will deal brutaly to any person that asks for it also. Their only hope is to destroy an relentless, merciless army called the Urks comprised of about 500 men, their merciless captain-Captain Veers (Who will lead the battle at first), and the great-General Zugros. Navar's only advantages are that they are defending while Zugros attacks; they are rested while Zugros' men are exaused; and they have crossbowmen while Zugros has none.

What to expect from this game:

An approxomately three minute long cutscene,
About 100 triggers for a single battle,
A relentless battle,
A final duel between both commanders.

Great game! I played on hard and won after losing twice. Yes definitely I think this is your best game. Does it use McGringoj's kill ratio based morale system? looked like it.

I wonder how you did that special attack thing...
It seemed cool.

I actually killed general Zugros by mistake! I didn't notice where he was and didn't realize when he was killed. One difficulty is that it is difficult to make out the troops on the swamp terrain.
The Real Bryl It was quite good, but there were too many ranged units which meant there was some lag. Apart from that, good.

Sword_of_STORM: Yes, I used his kill ratio for the game.

I wanted them to blend in with the swamp, camoflage.

The attack/HP method is easy, if you have the conquers and know how to change HP/Attack.

Set the hp you want for player 1 and don't hit set object or set area any where on any of the units, just leave it be. It is that simple.

The Real Bryl: I disageee, to me, 21 crossbowmen is not too many at all. I have done muliplayer games with my friend where I have made over 70 of them.

As Bryl pointed out, there is some lag. I have a laptop (1.7 Ghz, 760 mb ram) and the game did cause lag, especially in area where loads of troops were concentrated

There is no lag on my portable: P4/2.4 GHZ 512 MB RAM, 80 GB HD

Sword_of_STORM: I would be most grateful if you would make a review for me. There should be about two other people who agreed upon signing up as a playtester to review this for me, but it is possible that they will forget.

As for the awful subject of lag, I have a rather slow computer, but the game has never lagged for me. I can't give you an answer to your problem. Sorry, and I hope the lag is not too bad.

While all of you are privilaged with high tech fast machines I am stuck with a meagre 256 mb ram. The game did lag quite badly for me, but it wasn't so bad that I couldn't play the game. Nevertheless, quite good Dantares, I especially liked the swamp and fort. ;-)
Den cekke Nice scenario, one of top quality. Except for some minor faults(grammatic,...) it was almost perfect.

morgoth bauglir You know Mashek, you could just get more RAM from your motherboard... if you have windooza XP...
And no, I didn't encounter any lag (1.6ghz, 1.5 gb RAM, Dell laptop)

Alas! I worked so long on this game with the high hopes that I could reach a 4.0+ with this game on the first submission. I guess I should have kept trying to make it harder instead of submitting it when I did. "Failed I have."

On with the reviews I have recieved.

Julius999: Why would you want to kill the emmisary so early? That would just mess up the entire game, and maybe make you need to re start the game altogether.

True, the monk cannot do much, but it can help a little.

I thought I cleared all typos. What did I miss?

Yes, I wanted Navar to sound a little evil. Kind to his men, encouraging, but heartless to his enemies.

Ya, I liked those torches as well. I made a utility that had a bunch of them also. Take a look at that.

The special display instructions were by using the same method as Mashek used in his 'The Night of Long Tears'.

Basse: I'm glad that you did need a strategy to win. I didn't want people to be able to 'walk' over the Urk armies.

Yes, the special 'display instructions' arn't too new, but they are not common. I doubt Mashek founded it, but he was the one that taught me how to do it, so I find it only right to give him credit.

Yes, you play the game on normal. But if they go too fast, play the cutscene on slow. Them when the battle starts, back to normal.

I think Creativity deserved more than a three, but I will not argue that.

Sword in the Storm: The part with Captain Navar going behind the flag is a bug that came over the game. He was supposed to go to the command Center. For a while it worked fine and then something broke. I tried to fix it but couldn't be fixed. Sorry.

Everyone: Lag is a problem that I probably cannot fix. I will take away a few crossbowmen for the next update, but I cannot help you any other way on that issue. I am sorry. Since I don't experience lag, how can you expect me to help you? if anyone has an opinion on what to do, please share it.
