Sven is a commander in the king's army. He and the king has been friends for ages.
One day, the king calls Sven to his throneroom to give him a new mission. This mission is different to all others Sven has been given - this time he has to leave his beloved Bel'ora for a long time.
The kingdom has been shattered in rebellions for a year now. In the city of Zarzenton, the farmers are starting to get cocky. They dont supply the military with food anymore and they ignore all threats the king send them.
Sven's quest is following - go to Zarzenton, take control of the military and do what's neccesary to get the farmers back into their grip. But dont go with force - be strategic.
Every other commander the king has in his arsenal would use the power he's given wrong, and he would plague the farmers and push their hatred for the king even deeper into their souls. Thats what the king wants to go around, and so he sends Sven.
The following takes place on the way to Zarzenton, in a small village known as Balunborg. The scenario is very short, yet detailed. I dont believe it has any superb design or whatever but I put most time into the story. Thats why all text sections are filled!

ENJOY!
'Sven's Quest' is a short single scenario campaign in which you play as Sven and have some enjoyable adventures in a small village.
Playability: 4
I enjoyed this game a lot. There is a lot of humour in the conversations and the sidequests to be performed. Then there is a small interlude with a mad monk and an old woman concerning some orb, which sounds rather mysterious. Finally there is a pirate attack and you have to defeat them. The dialogues are well timed and funny.
Most of the flaws mentioned earlier appear to have been corrected. Now there is an optional objective of getting more soldiers through an AI taunt. This makes the battle more interesting.
Balance: 4+
The first part of the scenario is hardly difficult at all. You get to kill two mysterious guys and a praetorian archer. However the pirate attack is difficult because of the hand cannoneers as they can kill you quickly. If you just hang behind and expect your ally to make short work of the pirates it doesn't work, I found it possible to attack the ships while my allies fought on land. I needed a couple of restarts on hard so it wasn't easy, but not too difficult either. The ships are not too hard to destroy, so long as you take care that the land units aren't hitting you as well.
The optional objective to get more soldiers using an AI taunt is helpful and makes the scenario easier. However the soldiers you get (two handed swordsmen and teutonic knights) are not very useful because they get slaughtered by hand canonneers. You need to choose a right time to attack or you will lose.
Creativity: 4
A fairly creative scenario. The plotline is original and the dialogues are really funny and humorous. A new thing I noticed was a fence made out of 'head' units, fairly certain I haven't seen that before (although you can walk through it :P ) It also features a 'statue', a mad monk and a crazy old women .The music and sound effects add a nice touch to the scenario. The sidequests are creative too.
Map Design: 5
A very small map has been used, but it has been designed really perfectly. Terrain blending and gaia units have been placed in just the right amounts to get a good looking map. The fence around the monastery looked good. The map was well suited to the game too, especially for the pirate attack.
Therefore a 5.
Story/Instructions: 5
An exceptionally good story with lots of humour, intrigue and drama. There are lots of jokes and and mysterious things about orbs being mentioned. There is also a good hints and scouts section, and a nice scenario bitmap.
The instructions are also clearly given. However there is a misleading scenario instruction 'Get a horse from this area' which is confusing because there are obviously no horses on the map and it is not a condition for victory. The aftermath mentions Sven mounting a horse, but it should not be given as an objective.
Additional Comments:
A nice short game with humorous dialogue. I would recommend it for download.
Plus points
-humorous dialogue
-A few creative things
-good map design
Minus points
-Unnecessary 'get a horse' objective
-maybe a bit short.
