Yes, another one of my old projects. This one I did mainly to teach myself RMS scripting, but in the end I was quite happy with it and had a few games on it facing both computer opponents as well as human players. Being Scandinavian myself, I know what Scandinavian forests really look like when they're not covered with snow (and let's face it, it doesn't always snow here), and I believe this script emulates the looks of these forests pretty accurately.
Don't forget to read the readme html document.

This is my first review for a RMS script so excuse if I'm unclear or anything. I'll do my best to make it according to the guidelines.
The theme with Scandinavian woods is, to my knowledge, brand new. Well, at least to show it from its autumn side, not the cold winter side that everyone outside Scandinavia seems to think we have :P
I think oliver did a good job suiting the idea to the map script. I really feel like it could be the forest we have on the back of our house.
It has all elements a random map should have, and also the touch and feeling that this could be a Swedish forest not far from my house. It has a great atmosphere and I think oliver did a great job making this script. I see no reason to give a lower score than a 5 here, since the script suits the idea perfectly.
VISUAL APPEAL: 4
This scrpt had everything all random maps has, the random outlay of forests, paths, dirt and so on. There was little eye-candy but the best thing was the realism. It really looked like a Scandinavian forest (Believe me, I've lived 10 metres away from one for 7 years)
The few things that brings it down to a 4 is following:
1) Bunches of forage bushes clump in the middle of big tree-zones from time to time.
2) A little eye candy, like flowers, would look good. That would symbolise the lots of moss there are in many forests here.
But else, a very good map and a realistic one too.
The guidelines for RMS's sais following:
"4 - Good: This is the standard ES Script level of playability. The map can easily be played from beginning to end with no signs of lag, and no imbalance in the start. At this level, Playability should almost be unnoticable, but fun should be quite noticable."
I think this suits this RMS perfectly. I can really feel like home in the Scandinavian forest and I can even associate some places to the forest on the back of our house. I dont know how other players think about it, but I think this would work well as one of the ES scripts. It works like one and looks like one, but more like my home. Thats a main reason to why I like this so much.
Simply, it gets a 4 because I think it suits that score best, with source in the guidelines.
I fair score for this RMS. I like it and its unique as far as I know and that's the reason I reviewed it. I dont usually review RM scripts, but I made an exception for this one. Good job oliver.
