Version: Age of Kings
Style: Other
Number of players: 2
This is a new way to play Age of Kings for 2 players (The 3rd is always computer).

The object is to get the relic in the center to your monastery on your opponent's "end zone." and hold it there.

Each player starts with a monk and some "scrimmage" soldiers in the center. Players may not make new monks, and may not build new monasteries (That'd make it too easy.)

When your monk dies, a new one is spawned in your own end zone. You also get a extra one if you grab the relic (but you may not have more than 2 at a time).

Don't bother try destroying monasteries, they will just come back.

This isn't wussy football, Players may build up defenses like towers, castles and walls. Players may also kill opposing players. You are allowed to defeat your opponent instead of getting the relic to the goal if you wish.

Gameplay isn't all too different from normal, but it's a interesting twist having to take the relic TWORDS the enemy.

I play tested through and should have caught all the bugs, let me know if there are problems. I'm also considering making the play field a little narrower. Let me know what you think!

Argotha that is soo awsome. I agree the map could be a little thinner but it jsut makes it harder for both people. it adds a whole new perspective to both aok soccer and aok b&d (even if it wasnt intended to. great work

Thanks.I'm going to leave the feild as is unless enough people say they want it narrower.

I wasn't aware of the soccer map until after i made this one actually. What's B&D?

This is an interesting game... new concept. By the way B&D means build and destroy ie create villagers, train an army and kill the enemy type of game.

I haven't played it on multiplayer but the way it is I'm pretty sure it'll be impossible for either side to win in any other way than a huge B&D messup. A player can easily palisade off the enemy monastery (which is on his side) or alternatively damage it to such and extent that relics cant be garrisoned. This would prevent early takeovers.

Btw the soccer map is a good idea too.

Well, you can just destroy it the rest of the way to restore it before putting it in. You're going to need a pretty big army to protect the monastary long enough to win.

I like building a castle nearby personally.

Of course you can always destroy your opponent's main base instead of the normal victory. (The game won't end because of the infinite number of monks and monasteries, but at the point you only have those 2 left you should just forfeit.)
Celson I have played with multiplayer, and the monastarys are on your side of the feild. Instead of enemys

Bug: If the unit "Monk with relic" dies, You dont get a new monk.

I lost both of my monk permanently, and couldn't make new ones.

I ussualy vs my cousin. He always gets the relic because he lets my monk get the relic first,
Then he converts one of my men, and kills the rest, then steals relic. Good Stratergy.

Hmm. That's weird. I don't know how to fix that unofrtunitly, because it should be the other way around. I might be able to fix the scripting problem. If you have conqoureres that might be the problem.
