Version: The Conquerors
Style: Other
James Scout is back! And his arch-enemy Dr. Jo too. James got the defeat Dr. Jo and his evil plans, but Jo found some support: Wallkerion, the king of the walls and !KABOOM!, a totally crazed explosives fanatic accompanied Dr. Jo and all three try, to kick the butt of our secret agent Scout.
James has to defeat 9 different levels, 2 minigames and 3 boss enemies to save the day and bring peace into the whole world.

Who plays the jamish adventure the first time be warned: This isn't such a standard "Oh funny, I build a big bad army and I bash a big bad enemy"-map. This game is like a Jump'n'Run for Age of Empires. Comparable with TTF or similar maps. Just play, shouldn’t be so hard. :)

Have fun and good luck!

Greetings

KotB_tal Great game!
I had so much fun, playing this game (it remembered me playing Super Mario World on my SNES in the past).
Unbelievable how you managed it, to make an AoE Jump n Run. Very creative, very funny, and very well balanced.

How many triggers did you need to create the first boss Wallkerion? It had to be a very very long and hard work, to create this boss.

I also liked the second Boss Kaboom!, what a crazy guy. :D

I'm really surprised about this game, best campaign I played in the last time.
I think I'm going to play it again on the hardest difficulty now. ;)

Edit: I wrote a review now, I really had to do this, because it's a great game!

Thanks for your flattery. :)

For the first boss I certainly need about 50 triggers. Was besides level 5 one of the most expensive part of the game. So I came to at last 636. Ok its "only" the half of my last project "Brelda the Hun", but the number of triggers isn't equal to the quality of the game. ;)

Yeah, play it on hard. It's pretty tough. Especially Level 6 is damn heavy with the eagle. But you'll manage that. You just need some skill and enough patience. ;)

Short: This map ist great.
I never thought that behind such a "cheap" title could be such a interesting game. The title is just ironical and the map parodies a little bit the secret agent stuff from James Bond.
The game idea is totally new. It's really bracing and well realized. Many different passages, enemies and especially the endbosses are made great. At the end of the game it started slighty to lag, but it wasn't really bad (I don't have the best computer!).

Balance: 5
The game supports all kind of players. From greenhorns to experts with 3 different difficulty grades. First I played on moderate, what was already really challenging. Then I tried it again on difficult, what was hell on earth. But ok, I'm not the best on such things.

Creativity: 5
James Scout II is full with very fresh and awesome ideas. (Ok, the moving bridges were taken from TTF, but nevermind.)
I never thought that Shahs could be so annoying! The using of the COBRA's was also pretty neat, but the greatest thing were the moving walls. I'm still very impressed, because that certainly took huge of time and particularly patience.

Map Design: 3
Here is the problem of the game: This map can't have any mapdesign. I know it sounds weird. But because you're mostly running on one little road surrounded by water it's pretty difficult to add any mapdesign. Particularly it would just disturb. But at small passages you can see, that his mapdesign is also pretty well.
Well, I give here neutral 3 points. It's a pity, if this map get a middle rating, because the design is just not possible.

Story/Instructions: 5
Because the map has no right story (what is not actually necessary), I rated the Instructions. And they are really good made.
At the targets is a little introduction of the game and the a little help, which degree of difficulty fits to you.
At Hints and Scout you find the level-/mingame-/boss-descriptions, which is really needed, because each level and boss has his special stuff.

Additional Comments:
When I downloaded this game I doubt, that this map could be interesting, because the name already sounds really cheap and the "story" was more awful. But I mistook. James Scout II is one of the innovativest maps I've ever played and I recommend it to all, who want to play something total new!

Thank you for the good review. Well, its nice that you just gave at the mapdesign a neutral 3. I feared that I get there just a 1 and it pulls automaticly down to a 4 that I could reach at maximum.

Well, but its quite strange that there are so few downloads. What's the matter? :/
iLikeHell The game is wonderful, lots of fun and amazing trials. In my opinion to evaluate 5. A must game
