First of all, thank you for even looking at my campaign. It's only the first scenario, but I wanted to know what other people thought of it. So please download it and leave a comment..
{UPDATE}
In this campaign you play one of the few survivors of the Knight's Templar..
This (entirely fictional) knight named Nicolas Werasi, survived the proscecution of the Order by fleeing his castle and hiding in the moat.
This is the first scenario,as already mentioned before, and is (I think) not that hard to complete.. You also have to copy one AI file.(Included in file) Which I haven't made myself and I can't remember where I got it.
This is just the first one, 3 others are on their way! |

Dead_End, it would be good if you include some description on what your campaign is about, since it's very unlikely that people will download it if you just say that it's your first upload. |

'The Avenger' is an RPG style campaign. It is about a fictional knight Nicolas Werasi and his adventures.
Playability: 3
This one scenario campaign has shallow playability. There are some sidequests to accomplish such as freeing slaves, building a town centre etc. However the only real thing to to do is to siege a town and kill its soldiers. As you have a trebuchet and more troops than your opponents, it's an easy victory.
There are also some bugs. When the view is shifted to the ruined fort, the looping trigger keeps saying 'Welcome, my lord'. Also I did not know where to build the town centre. I built 2 in the place near the pavilion, but that objective was never crossed out. Also, the extra troops you get from the villagers have to be tasked away manually, it should be automatically done to prevent soldiers spawning on the same spot which is not possible.
Balance: 2
The scenario is very easy, although I played on hard. The only significant enemy force is 3 woad raiders and 3 archers inside the town. Nicholas had so much armor he could probably have taken on all of 'em on his own. Also, with a trebuchet towers and gates were not a problem. I didn't much enjoy razing gates.
Creativity: 3-
The scenario is not very creative. It does have some sidequests and things to keep it interesting, but not much. You can buy food, rescue slaves and get new soldiers. However the storyline is original, though nothing very new. Still, I give it 3. I liked the name, Nicholas Werasi.
Map Design: 2
The map is not very good, in fact not as good as a random map. The forests are of one type, unmixed and squarey. There are some poorly placed farms. The ruined fort looked ok with roman ruins and stuff. Still there was little eyecandy. The whole map was not used, there were inland seas and 2 islands which could be seen with marco/polo, but it doesn't matter as the player couldn't see it. The final 'fort' was rather plain.
Story/Instructions: 4
The instructions are given properly as well as some hints, though they are not really required.
There is a story, though not an excellent one. There is also a good history section.
Additional Comments:
Although this campaign is mostly unremarkable, I think it's a pretty good start to scenario designing. In fact my first scenario was probably worse. Suggestions: Work more on your map design, use terrain mixing. Put more triggers and missions. Play your campaign and see that you are finding it easy or difficult. Visit the forums and discuss things. Finally it is worth your while to make a hints/scouts section and a bitmap.
I look forward to more of your work in the future.
