Can I suggest using an 'immobile units' AI to keep the germans (:not nazis) still? Then perhaps they could gain reinforcements or some of the sort when you get closer to the main base, then if you started losing you could gain some to finish the battle off.
Even though it was a bit enjoyable, because the eye-candy was non-existant it felt a bit dull, and i'm sure the second mission is the same as the first!

I lost the first time because I wanted to try using the trenches. However, the enemy took all the trench units and combined them together and charged. My troops were spread out and were easy pickings. I took all my troops and reformed and charged. I beat that wave off, but practically destroyed my army. I tried a diversion by setting up my Trebs, and they attacked them and then I attacked on the flank. It didn't work. They wasted my troops. Both commanders dueled, and I killed him, and then the riflemen killed me! I lost. I really have no interesting playing again. It was not really fun.

it isn't very fun and real estrategies don't work with the real efect. you can try make a history and use more triggers, i believe that you can make a better campaign
