I play teutons, my allies are viking, celt and spanish. The enemies are goth, turk, saracen and aztec. Two players leave early (our ally - celt leaves as early as dark age; the turk in the other team leaves later). It's a hard won victory, with non stop attack / defence. I try champion rush, paladin and what not, but aztec and goth are infantry civ and defend succesfully. So, in the end I try the only option I thought I had left, the strongest infantry unit - teutonic knight. And that's how I manage to push, do damage to all enemies and in the end we get the victory. I also have to defend from a few attacks from purple, part of my base gets destroyed but nothing critical. Please leave feedback
I personally enjoyed this game. Nowadays it seems hard to find half-decent recorded multiplayer games. Featured several decently skilled players with good recovery skills from purple Goth opposition.
Nice solid gameplay. Early on, Wooloo_Estyty did a good job putting pressure on and displacing purple Goths, with you helping back up his base a couple times. You did a nice job with the forward build and attack to control the center. Later on Wooloo seemed to let his economy die and you were able to do a nice job clearing out the remainder of the enemy. Funny that the gray Aztecs never fully upgraded infantry attack.

What site was this played on? I am planning on starting to play a little again online after not playing for a couple years.

Thank you for your post and nice remarks. Yes I am schumibob :D. The game was played on Gamespy (see game description). You need to download their client and create an account there. It works very well - so have fun.

great match! the enemy was so stubborn lol but they had good map control. i noticed purple build the hidden base just west of blue's main base and launched that crippling attack on him. good thing you decided to use teutonic knights at the end! those guys are tough!!! gg

They go out of sync because you play with version 1.0 (un-patched). The default version at the blacksmith is 1.0c. I leave a comment when it plays with 1.0.
To play both version, create a new folder in default\Microsoft Games, name it original version and cut and paste your Age of Empire II folder into it (attention game not running). Then insert your AoK CD and install the game, then install the Conquerors expansion and patch your game with patches 2.0 and 1.0c. You can play patched recorded games from there. To go back to the original, create new folder in default\Microsoft Games, name it version 2.0 and 1.0c, cut and paste the patched Age of Empire II into it, then cut and paste your original version back (attention game not running).

Good game, but i would say that it's a noob+ game, not so decent rec game. Cause so much time of iddle vils in dark age and castle rush (all knows that feudal drush is better xd)
