This the first map, that i've actually TRIED to make good.
Basically this map is divided into 5 parts, seperated by rivers.
They are Western side, Eastern side, Northern side, Southern side and in the middle, something that i'll leave
for you to discover.
Every side is different.
The Western side is rich in forests, but has lesser wildlife and gold|stone.
The Northern side has the most wildlife and food sources.
The Southern side has the most stone and gold, but is the most dangerous.
It has a few forage bushes. But any wildlife, that gives food, is dangerous in nature (like wild bores) and others don't give food at all (wolves).
And the Eastern side is the Great Sea, full of fish.
There are also a few extras in this map, if you can spot them. Every side(including the middle one) has 1 extra. The one in the middle section is the reason the map is called "at gods feet".
So have fun. And BE FAIR when commenting on this. Say anything you want to,as long as it's still constructive.
Cabbagejuice it is a good map design. However, it is difficult to get a playable game. You did not place the town centers for the players and the game engine places them at random, and no, it is not significant for random maps ;). It took four attempts, on three a comp TC placed near a Iron Boar, no villager survived.

I didn't place town centers with the intention, that you WOULD spawn randomly, and just learn your way around with the part of the map you spawn in.
I didn't want each player to have his/her own part of the map.
PS: i had some trouble with the iron boars too when testing this.:D
The npc's did actually. I would just hide in the town center and kill it, but the enemies were computer controlled and they kept working and eventually resigned due to the lack of villagers.
And did you find the extra in the middle?

It is a good idea that the game engine places player 1 randomly on the map giving different games. However, the NPCs cannot handle the Iron Boars in the Dark Age and it is very unlikely that one receives a good challenging game. You should place the two enemies with some distance to Iron Boars, make them ally to each other and let the player spawn randomly.
It is impossible to find the extra in the middle without the ‘Marco’ and ‘Polo’ cheats.
