The Conquerors 1.0c |
Jones Blond
and the Ultimate Mission
This is my entry to Mashek's ACSC, Age of Kings Heaven Cut-Scene Competition, of year 2007. The cut-scene you'll see is part of a bigger project to be released sometime in Spring 2008... hopefully*.
I hope you enjoy the cut-scene as it is now, and that you wont fall asleep in the middle of it. Read carefully and follow the hints given. Read all instructions to get a wider perspective before you actually watch the cut-scene.
Credits are in the eftermath. Now, download and ENJOY!
* as with all my promises of this sort, it wasn't fulfilled. There might be a full version sometime in the future. Some time. |

Really interesting and creative topic for a cutscene. The environment really suited the story. I like it. |

****This cut-scene came 4th in the Age of Kings Cut-scene Contest 2007.****
Congratulations Basse!
Hilariously witty, Basse! You still seem to impress me with every work of yours I see. I laughed many times and the cliches were perfect. I really enjoyed the music and the scenes of an Aston Martin flying through valleys and along roads was pure creative! This cut-scene is very well made and deserves attention. I hope to see more![Edited on 11/06/07 @ 09:52 AM]

This one just makes me go "Ha-ha", in a good way.
You never cease to amaze us with your witty stories, intriguing twists and turns, Basse. I must admit, you have successfully developed a unique style of your own. Good for you! :)
Overall, good work! |

I'm flattered :)
If you like my agents scenarios, you sujrely must play Agent Wolfcastle (if you haven't already). I got much of my inspiration from that scenario. It's one of my top favourites frankly |

Create a macaw or hawk with the 'Create Object' effect and the kill it immediately with the 'Kill Object' effect. Or you can do the same thing with a petard/saboteur. |

I liked this campaign a bunch. I watched it before starting to make my cut-scene contest entry. It helped me. But, at the beginning how do you reveal map sections? I want to reveal new sections of the map for my cut-scene later, not at the beginning. Is it possible to create map revealers and remove them with triggers or something? Thanks. |

You pretty much answered your own question there legoguitars ;).
Create a map revealer with triggers (can be found under Others, for the Gaia player). When you want the map to go black again, have another trigger remove them. If you want the map to reveal a section of the map, but keep it in the fog of war, like I did in the beginning of the sunrise scene, have the first trigger create the map revealer and then remove it immediately. Hope that helps :) |
