~THE WESTERN FORT~ EPILOGUE
This is the final story to The Western Fort series. I meant to to submitt this a long time ago, but I forgot to. I actually completed this cut-scene in two days. I wanted to get it finished and submitted before I went for a trip up north. I've not been able to submit it sooner, because I had the Renaissence DAT file installed. This game uses a different DAT file. I have, actually, not changed anything on it since then. I am very impressed that I was able to do it in two days, and only having minor bugs (all mentioned for you in the Scouts) and some spelling errors.
I just want to see what you think of it, and then I will do an update, and remove any bugs, and edit spelling mistakes. I have not submitted this with my other original because I want people to tell me what you would advise fixing, and later, I will add it in with my original The Western Fort series.
I really hope you like it folks, I think you will,
~Dantares IV~
The story starts in ~The Western Fort~ version 2.0

I moved the file from Single Player Campaigns and leave it in the 'Unfinished Single Player Works' until added to the original, ~The Western Fort~ version 2.0, as stated in the description.
The end fits the Christmas season well. I did not encounter any bug but missed arrow and gunfire sounds and themed music. Sometimes the dialogues were too fast other times they stayed too long, adapt the timing to the length of the dialogues. Other than that, good work.

I'm glad you liked it Tanneur. You said you didn't see any bugs. During the last scene, all the solders did die for you? For me, one or two of the Samurai always survive. Well, I'm glad it worked for you. :) |

Yes, two Samurais survived, I did not consider it as a bug back then, I was captured by the good story. |

I am extremely happy to hear those words, "I was captured by the good story." That's music to my ears. :) |

Sorry, but I found the cutscenes pathetic and the ending was peculiar. |

Well, for one, it was just one cut-scene. You wrote cut-scenes.
"Sorry, but I found the cutscenes pathetic and the ending was peculiar."
That was the second most destructive criticism comment I have ever seen made. I'm even more shocked to hear it coming from you. I've always seen you as a considerate, nice person. :{ Not some rude person who just barfs something out without thinking twice. I'm dissapointed in you.
The best destructive criticism ever said was on a Constantinople game where a guy said, "Bah trash!"
However, I am sorry you found the game that discusting. Terribly sorry. |

I often say what I think. The cutscenes were peculiar in the sense they often lacked action where there should have been, and you have to imagine far too many things. The last scene with the guys 'talking' long after they were dead and decayed into skeletons just takes the cake. |

"The cutscenes were peculiar in the sense they often lacked action where there should have been, and you have to imagine far too many things. The last scene with the guys 'talking' long after they were dead and decayed into skeletons just takes the cake."
Now that is MUCH more constuctive! I have no problem with you speaking your mind. I prefer it, but at least tell me what you don't like.
Now, as for the last dialogue part, I can't help you there. I cannot make a unit not decay. But I do agree with you.
What scenes did not have the 'action' you were looking for? E.G: The first battle. The destruction of the indian village. The last battle in the mountain pass. |
