This campaign is about a band of Vikings who first conquer England and then the rest of Europe. Playability: This campaign's playability was fair. There were a couple of minor bugs and one major bug, but other than that it worked fine. The scenarios were pretty repetitive, so this gets a 3. My Suggestions: Fix the major bug (in the second resource-gathering scenario nothing happens when you get the required amount of resources) and make the scenarios more different. Balance: This campaign was too easy. Most of the scenarios were just random maps, so if you know how to play those you'll get through this without much effort. It wasn't ridiculously easy though, so this gets a 2. My Suggestions: Make the random map-style scenarios more difficult by adding special objectives like, "rescue the Viking prisoners being held in the far north." Creativity: The campaign's creativity was below average. Six of the nine scenarios were random maps, and two of the other three were just resource gathering scenarios. The last one was more creative, however, and saves this from a 1. My Suggestions: Add unique touches to the random maps to make them more different from the normal game. Map Design: Almost all of the maps are random maps, so this is an automatic 3. My Suggestions: Add some gaia objects to the map and mix terrain. Story/Instructions: The instructions were clear, and there was a story. There were quite a few spelling errors though. Still, this gets a 4. My Suggestions: Fix the spelling errors. Adding instruction screen bitmaps would help too. In Conclusion: This is a very good first campaign. I will be watching for more scenarios by the author.
