Murak

Updated January.26.2008

A big fun battle on a snowy hill. No story goes with it, this campaign mainly specialises in fun! A bit like my first camapign Desert Battle

, but much better. You can play it over and over again on different difficulty levels and it will always be a nice challenge.

Feautures

  • Lagfree

  • crashfree

  • Strategic terrain

  • A moral system of your units

  • Dramatic Music that fits the battle

  • A choice of three different difficulty settings ingame

  • Heroes that influence the moral of your and enemy units

Feel free to contact me if you find any bugs or if you have any good ideas for improvements. Or if you just wan't too make a compliment.

You can also just post here.

This crashed for me 2/4, please fix the random bug.
ForGreat_Justice Strange, it didnt crash for me... anyway, I finally won on moderate, I dont know what I was doing wrong... anyway, its fun. BTW, you need to fix the sound at the beggining... it starts playing the music and after 1 second start playing again, making it horrible.
Hambone2010 Looks cool fix the bug crashed 3 out of 3 times for me.I play and comment if you fix the bug.

This single-scenario campaign is a good old-fashioned, kill-'em-all battle where your forces must fight against a monstrous army attacking from all directions. The game is both fun and addicting, and I'm giving it the thumbs-up!

Playability: 5
There is absolutley nothing wrong with the playability of this game. Many players who design scenarios like this make the mistake of giving the player too many troops. When the player has too many units to control, it becomes impossible to use them effectively, leaving the player bewildered, dizzied, and vaguely frustrated. Well, this game certainly is dizzying, but the player always has just enough control over the situation to avoid feeling like he/she is just a spectator.
Also, the music was perfect. It really set the mood for the scenario, and I'd sure like to know where you got it...

Balance: 5
In a game with almost no storyline, it's usually better to make the game too difficult than to make it too easy. This scenario is extremely difficult to win on hard mode, which is exactly as it should be. This way, it can provide hours of entertainment; and the player can always return to it later and dive right into the jaw-dropping action.

Creativity: 5
I was impressed by how well the techniques were implemented. The scenario used a morale system, NPC heroes, and a well-rounded selection of units and strategies to make the scenario both entertaining and extremely enjoyable.

Map Design: 4
In general, the map design in this scenario is kind of no-nonsense: it gets the job done, but doesn't do much else. It's nice not to have too many graphical effects getting in the way; on the other hand, a little terrain mixing and such would have been nice.

Story/Instructions: 3
This scenario has no backstory, and the in-game text totally accomplishes its purpose: to put get the player involved in the game, to keep the player informed, and to nudge the player in the right direction as to what strategies to use. However, in-game messages and the hints section could have used a little spit n' polish. (In my opinion, "the commander of the south hill has fallen" sounds better than "the commander of the south hill died.")

Additional Comments:
All in all, I really enjoyed playing this scenario, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a little fast-paced action. The campaign provides a thrilling adrenaline rush, and (on hard and medium modes, at least,) victory is by no means easy.
