This scenario is a short and simple maze-themed game. The game was decent and it was not challenging at all. There was a lot of walking around but it was expected. There were a couple of fight scenes and they were really straight forward. The obtaining of keys to open doors made it more enjoyable as it added a goal. Overall, it was not fun to play. If the author had incorporated more puzzles or trap elements into the maze, it would have definitely made it more interesting. Lastly, I made it to the end and there was no victory message. Even though this is an unfinished project, adding an ending would have closed the demo smoothly; it's not a lot of work either.
The few battle events were straight forward task-to-attack. The player's unit was superior and there were two healing zones that fully healed the unit at no cost making the next battle as easy as the first. The maze itself was not challenging as it did not branch off far enough.
It's a maze, there aren't many of these. The search for keys, that are guarded by enemies, to open doors was a nice addition, but it could have been improved upon as mentioned above.
Map Design: 2
Walls and lots of snow terrain is what covers your screen throughout gameplay. The healing zones offer something different but it was poorly made. It consisted of flowers, hidden fishes, and forage bushes.
There was an introduction and then you were given the objective, 'escape'. There was nothing written anywhere else.
With more ideas and effort, I'm sure a good maze-theme game can be made.
