In 58 BC, Gaius Julius Caesar was appointed by the Roman Senate as proconsul for Gaul, for which he was given four legions. The ambitious Caesar, a military ingenue, had little idea of how lucky he was going to be---as he was in usually everything he did---because, within a short space of a few years, after coming to the rescue of the Gauls against incursions from Germanic tribes to the east, Caesar himself decided to bring the rest of the barbarian tribes under the domain of Republican Rome....and, at the same time, increase his visibility among the Roman people.
Gallia omnia est in partes tres....
It is more than fifty years before the birth of Christ. Take the role of Asterius Gratius, renowned Centurion of the legions of Imperial Rome, and be taken on a journey across ancient Gaul, into conflict with the enemies of the Empire.
This campaign consists of four scenarios, taking you from south-western Gaul to the Rhineland, to the ancient Sabis River and to the Bay of Biscay in north-western Gaul.
Designer's Note: This campaign is only a beta version, without bitmaps or custom AI. It is also designed to be historically inaccurate, so bear with the mistakes. All comments are welcome.
