Uhm, im going to give tips which i think will help you, nuffing personal ;)
First of all, start with pressin 'h,c,c,c,c' that are the hotkeys for building 4 villies, and should be helpful.
Build 3 houses with the 3 first vills, close to ur TC whilst u let your scout runs circles round ur base with waypoints (hold shift while setting them then let him walk to the first one).
when the 3rd house is done let 1 vill build a mill near bushes n get food while ur vills chop wood till are 4 are done. Then let the 6 vills (the other one still farming bushes) kill sheeps, u can do this earlier but its more decay. Remember to kill one sheep at a time and put another close to the one being farmed to save time.
Now u put ur TC flag on a loose tree near the TC.
In the mean time check if ur scout still has some walking work to do, he should have seen a gold mine, some trees and a stone mine by now. If ur vills are finished with the sheep put em on the bushes or make more vills and hunt boars, but thats hi lvl (lol) micro management and may let u lose a vill, so maybe dont. If the wc vills are done with the stranglers (loose trees) let em build a lumbercamp one grid off the nearest forest. Why the nearest forest? because u can easily town bell if enemy's come and save their asses(may i say that?:P). make farms round ur TC and mill, and make sure wood and food is covered.
Go feudal with 18-30 vills and a booming economy :P
-dont build military in dark age, easiest cpu's wont rush u or somfing :P
-make sure u always (dark age) have vills waiting to be spawned, unless ur going to feudal ffcourse
-have 1 villager build some houses when uve got some wood and got economics covered.
For the critics, no i didnt say anything really speficic, but if u dont know this part ull never have a really superb game.
Good luck mate!;)

In other words you can set multiple waypoints for scouts and they will go to the first, second and third, etc.??? And what does whilst mean?
Thanks for the other tips.

You can with/for every unit :p
While you are, or somefing..
Hold shift, press right mouse button to set waypoints (in singleplayer pressing pause may be preferable) then click anywere near the scout and it will walk the whole trail.
