Age of Chivalry: Hegemony
Age of Chivalry - a total conversion modification pack for Age of Empires II: the Conquerors set in Western and Central Europe 1100-1500 AD.
Requires the C patch.
Some versions of AoK:TC come with the patch pre-installed, such as some Gold and Collectors Editions. If this is the case, do not install the patch!
Although the graphic changes are been extensive, we've also gone for a total revamp of the gameplay. We've replaced all of the 18 civilisations, there are many new units, new, civilisation-specific buildings (the Princely Court, the Assembly Hall and the Guild Hall) as well as over a dozen new technologies, policy decisions, a mercenary system, new combat dynamics, and even an extensive history section. Yes, that's right: we're replacing all the civilisations in the game with new ones!
Wider support for scenario-only objects is included, and to showcase these a multi-scenario campaign is included with the mod itself. Multiplayer and random map balance has been tweaked, a rudimentary AI has been included, and with the new countries joining the mix, the European battles are even better!
Features:
* Command one of three types of civilisation: the early-game Communal civilisations, the mid-game, militia/spear-centred Urban societies or the heavy infantry/cavalry Noble principalities
* Prepare to fight! Changed game mechanics ensure a much earlier start to the combat, with archery units available in the first age and castles and battering rams in the second
* Complement your armies with mercenaries like the Genoese Crossbowman, the Privateer, or Scots Guards
* Take up the fight as Austria, Bavaria, Bohemia, Brandenburg, Brittany, Burgundy, Denmark, England, Flanders, Florence, France, Friesland, Genoa, Guelders, Helvetia, Hungary, Liege, Milan, Naples, the Papal States, Poland, Savoy, Saxony, Scotland, Venice, or Wales, each completely different
* Advance your country on one of at least two paths by making essential policy decisions, affecting the future of your people
* New buildings, technologies, and units, from the ordinances of the Princely Court to the might of each faction's hero
* Research new, civ-specific, technologies, such as English Longbowmen or Helvetia's Eidgenossenschaft
* Discover the history of each of the 26 countries - plus special articles on the period's conflicts and warriors
* Historical 8-scenario campaign takes you through some of the major events of the period (the battle of Bouvines, the Barons' War, the conquest of West Friesland, the battle of Kortrijk, the start of the Hundred Years War, the siege of Maastricht, the battle of Chioggia, the battle of Vitkov Hill and the siege of Neuss)
Comes with auto-installer.
Version 2.03
Last updated 29 December 2018
Now includes the Userpatch, which allows you to set the population limit to 1000, play with widescreen, and many more features besides! |

"Edit: ok the rustinator ai will build up and attack but wont build its unique building or train knightly infantry/ cavalry but will build the rest if the original civilization got the unit."
Yes, that's correct. Unfortunately I don't know how to alter the AI so that it constructs any of the new units or buildings or researches the new technologies.
"i think i have a problem with installing it, because i dont think its complete. are there supposed to be new languages, or do they remain the same? because when i was playing with the guelders, for example, i got the old byzantine civalization with the language and the swords on the ships..., is that normal or am i missin something?"
It sounds like you have a problem with your installation, because, indeed, none of those things are meant to happen. Perhaps you did not install the C patch before installing Age of Chivalry? I advise you to uninstall Age of Chivalry, install the C patch (http://download.microsoft.com/download/ageIIConquerers/Update/1.0c/W982KMe/EN-US/Age2XPatch.exe) and then install Age of Chivalry again. Hopefully it'll work then. :)
"i got only one "Age of Chivalry" campaign, and a scenario called 1214 bouvines, also the history has changed, but the music for each civilization is still the same from the original version"
All scenarios are combined in a single campaign file. When you win at Bouvines, the next scenario will be unlocked. Also, the music hasn't been changed, because altering it was liable to crashing the game.
"Uh, I'm sorry, but I found a little bug... it's about the Eenglish Skirmisher price (205 Food?). I think you guys must fix that typo (is it a typo or not?)"
Thanks for telling, I'll give it a look. While we may have wanted to alter the English skirmisher's price, I'm sure 205 food is a bit too much! ;) |

this is just a gameplay question is there any use for knightly cavalry or infantry.
i find knighly cavalry way weeker than 2 trooper/teule (old knight) and foot knights only stronger than 2 town militia if the civilization gets longswordmen or halbermen then no point in training foot knights.
Oh i found another bug: if you got 2 town centres you can research both unique techs. |

i installed the patch, the game, and the mod all over again and still didnt work, i sent u an e-mail with some additional comments, hope you will provide me with some help on, also the Danish livgardes, keep converting in shape from jaguar worriors to berserks and then to that other unit they are supposed to look like, also austrian imperial knight is the elite mangudai of the mongols, and the mongol auxiliary of bavaria is actually the unique chinese unit, he is only on a horse when firing or standing still other wise he the the chinese unit, and heis so weak against all other units, and the swiss pikeman actually is an indian worrior of the aztecs, or the mayans, and the mawr of brittany is the elite tarkan of the huns. i am sure that this is not how the game is supposed to be like, but i dunno wat else to do...hope to get some help soon and hear your comment about the idea of adding Holland, since it's involved in most of the battles of the netherlands.[Edited on 10/06/08 @ 04:34 AM]

The file has been updated to fix the 205 food English skirmishers. They now cost 20 food. Also, the walls for the Dutch and Danish civs now are red brick, like their houses and town hall.
"Oh i found another bug: if you got 2 town centres you can research both unique techs."
You can research both, but you're just wasting resources then. Only the first of the two technologies will take effect. (This 'bug' has already been reported many times.)
Willem, I'm sending you an email now. |

ANOTHER BUG! Why does the Bombard Tower (or it was the Keep?) garrison flag spawn that higher? |

Hello folks, I need a bit of help,
This mod is awesome and so far it works just fine, however,it has some problems I cannot fix. The game did not replace the image of some units- for example heroes- to the unique one I have seen in the screenshots, so the heroes still look like Petards. I'm a greenhorn in how the modding or the work with modded files work, so I would be grateful if someone could help me. Thx |
