The Conquerors 1.0c |
This mod is a basic improvement on my 'Unique color changes' mod to change player colours, I have worked hard to get the new gold colour to work with the environment and various other things while retaining the popular colours, and I have succeeded at last, many probably hoped I would have removed the cyan colour but it is used so much in the environment, my changes to player colours are as follows (don't worry I’ve just moved red to the orange slot to avoid clashes):
Blue -> (no change due to effects on mini map)
Red -> black
Green -> green but with darker outlines
Yellow -> No change
Orange -> Maroon (basically red but better)
Cyan -> darker Cyan
Purple -> Royal Gold
Gray -> (no change due to effects on castles)
Thanks for looking I hope you like the new look I’ve added to the game, please note there is one or 2 minor clashes, the unit move order arrow things are now black (looks fine anyway) and so are the building percent bars, unit health bars have a slightly different green and have black instead of red but overall the effects are fine, I think it looks good overall, please download and tell me what you think.
Thanks STRATUS. |

USEFULNESS/NOVELTY: First of all, this is original, and it's funny, but I don't really understand why this could be useful... I would advice this to Players who wants to try another game look. Also, this could be useful for RPG designers, then the evil should be Black or something... Anyway, It's good, I guess it took some time, it's creative.
QUALITY/INSTRUCTIONS: The colors were nice, especially black. But when I used it, the HP tabs were kinda different. Quality could be better. I didn't really saw difference between the older yellow and your color :) The instructions weren't that clear... Whenever you make another thing to post here, make sure the instructions are very clear. The note you putted inside was the same as the description above.
Additional Comments:
This could be worked out with new colors... You should try to combine some, and make new colors, like you did with Purple -> Black
Good work, though.
Greetings,
Guthan

This is a subtle, yet quite good change to AoK. One thing, though: The blue is quite hard to see on the minimap. |

This Colour changing mod changes some team colours like red into black.This is good if you want to make say a LOTR scenario and want the orcs to be black. However I think that the Marron, Gold and Darker Green ones are pointless. I also disagree with changing the colour of red when it is one of the most used colours in the game. It's a good idea though. |
