Same civs, i am goths, they are teutons and persians, arabia map. Only difference is i have reveal map as explored instead of normal.
So pretty much, i wont go and say i am a better player than you, i am just smarter.
The computers are extremely easy to beat if you know how they operate. When they attack they have a command that makes them avoid units and attack vital points in your city, or just points where it will disrupt your progress, when walls are blocking there way, they knock them down at random points, how do you counteract this? build walls and knock one part of it down, and situate your army there,. Since the walls arent blocking there attack they will try to get through the gap, but they cant avoid your units because all of your units are there. The result? a valley of death like the movie 300. They cant get past and an awesome percentage of the time they will ignorantly continue to attack that point, dont take my word that they wont attack your walls at some time, sometimes they may, but a better percentage of the time they wont.
Ok so now, as you can see i execute this strategy very well, and they havent got a hope in hell agaisnt me, despite the numbers 2v1. I start of pretty slowly and stuff a few things up,(i dont play much arabia), but once i get things set up and have my army in the right place, i could pretty much relax, just build the right units, have population limit full 95% of the time, once you are ready, command a 50-50, attack-defend strategy, i defended with my halbediers and skirmishers, and attacked with champions, once i began my attack they became slowly weaker and weaker, and stop there atacks completly.
ok and so another strategy with your attacks is that if you can directly attack there economy, do it, computers hate it and will immediatly focus on repairing it instead of defending there entire city, they will defend with the remaining units but crumble once they are gone, if an army is blocking an attack on there economy, get rid of it first and do a few sneak attacks on the economy. Chances are you already know that one, but yeah just thought i'd mention it.
So there you are. keep up your practice, ive learnt alot through playing cmputers, try to challenge yourself more and more, watch how your enemies work and out-do them.
