U.S simulation

Author File Description
File Details
Version: The Conquerors 1.0c
Style: Build and Destroy
ok i updated this for the 3rd time now, put more fish on the map.

This map features

-Desert Mexico

-The Missisipie river

-marsh lands for Florida and loiusiana

-Andres mountains east of th Mississipie

-Southwestern U.S has accurate desert locations(the best of my ability)

-and more

This is my FIRST submission to the blacksmith so i could use more improvement. I wil keep making maps of real places so you can expect that.

Here you start out on a boat and must sail to america and colonize the place. There really is no story because its meant to be just a simulation.

Even though the file name is America.scn, it is a .SCX file and plays with The Conquerors Expansion.

i accidently made a mistake in the map guys, ill update it as soon as possible.
hunnic paladin Well, finally! Yay!!!

I am a big fan of simulation maps, and xantan's world sim was great!

Ill come back with some screens and a rating next Thursday or sooner!!! Do you mind if I post a map shot?

Edit: Im also thinking of doing a "Western Hemisphere Simulation," what do you think?

Edit 2: FYI, it's Mississippi. :)

nah i dont mind, thank you for the comment HP

Edit: The western hemisphere would be really fun and a good chalange HP, but i think you could pull it off

hunnic paladin I started on the entire world, but I couldn't get my Alaskan Tail very good, so I think I will just stick to a "Half World." :P
OldValiken Nice work. But sadly, I lost and just decided "Stuff it!" I really like how you made the map, and you gave it good layout. There was only one problem. The 'Mordred Dies' objective didn't come up. Next time, make sure your objectives are clear. I didn't know Mordred had to live until I checked the triggers after I lossed. This was disappointing mainly because I know if I had known that, I would've beaten it.

EDIT:@HP, errr, you could do just the North American contenant if you wish. I may want to make a simulaion of alaska to... well hope it comes out soon:)

hunnic paladin Yes, OldValikin, I do believe you have posted the comment on the wrong thread. :)

@LongBow: I think Im goind to do the western hemisphere first, and then do the eastern. I might even put the north and south poles on them. :D

So HP, you said your going to post some scrennies soon? Just wondering, and any comments would be nice from other people to see what i could do better next time.
hunnic paladin Yes, sorry, I forgot which computer I had them on(I played this on two different comps) and I thought I deleted them, but I found them now. :)
Never have the gamer have a screen that is almost empty.
Emptiness is never good. Maybe you should have put some stone here. :)
Try mixing terrains to make it look better and you will get better ratings.
Never put gaia buildings unless it is critical to the story.
Gaia Objects make it too easy.
Try using different terrain types and mixing them together instead of just all over the screen.
This makes it too easy. You should never put gaia buildings that aren't critical to the story.
On all the Simulations, you didnt put any stone. It was really hard to do without many castles, even though all the opponents had only one. :) If you dont know how, but I assume you do, it is just like placing gold mines, you just have to scroll down the list of "gaia other" objects untill you see it.
I already sent in a review, so Im waiting for it to be published. I am pretty sure Tannuer will let it slide(please do, Tannuer, when your aprooving this comment :P ). :P The review has an animated map shot. :D I spent time making it, because I had so much fun! Hopefully other people will enjoy it too.
I also got some great snaps from Antarctica, Ill post those on the other thread though.
