I was inspired to create this map after visiting Lichfield National Park, just outside Darwin, AU. This map is based on Arnhem Land, which means that it is rocky, and cliffy, with scattered Eucalyptus (oak) scrub with Bismark Palms (Palm desert trees), with a river dividing the map and dense jungle along the river.
Since I'm trying to keep the Australlian feel going, there are no deer or sheep, but there are plenty of Bush Turkeys and some Wild Boars and berry bushes... Just be on the lookout for Dingoes (rabid wolves), otherwise you'll be losing a lot of villagers. I have everyone start with an archer and a missionary as well as the standard starting units, so you can clear out the "dingoes" and heal your archer as needed. This map plays somewhat like the ES Sherwood forest, but with some differences, due to the river and jungle.
Update: Version 2.0 now hase more varied terrain, and a secondary mode, where the river is gone, and you only have a couple of water holes surrounded by Palm Trees... This basically reflects the dry uplands of N. Australlia. The percentages of gettin either type is 50-50. Hope you enjoy the update.
