You lead the fortress city of Neighold. Since Summer, the city has been under seige by forces from the south. Now that it is winter, you plan to escape with some forces and gather resources enough to build an army and attack the enemy whilst they are unawares.
Follow the road for Silver and stone mines. To the east is a lumbercamp. Off shore, some peasants you sent as messangers are marooned. Two of the enemy's landing craft drifted off and are on the shore.
Seige of Neighold is a B&D scenario made with Age of Chivalry, a total conversion mod for Aok.
Not very enjoyable, it plays like a random map except that you have a few additional quests to rescue villagers, capture gold mines etc. The game is very easy, and also short - over in 10 min.
I played on hard, and there is simply no challenge. The enemy units do not attack or train more units so you can simply build up and overwelm them.
The game was slightly creative in it's use of Age of Chivalry and had a few renamed units. Otherwise it is a standard B&D with a town and a few villagers.
Map Design: 3
The map was probably the best part of the scenario, at least as good as a random map. However the placement of trees etc. was not good, eg. there was no occasional tree you would find in a town. There was little terrain mixing or eyecandy.
Instructions are given - you just have to kill the enemy leader. No hints, scouts, etc. and no story that I could understand. It didn't seem much like a seige.
This is one of the few scenarios using Age of Chivalry, so interesting to play despite the lower rating.
