This is my first scenario in AOE that doesn't contain more than like 2000 units. so it is my first real map.
i guess most of you already have the AI that comes with it, and as it is exactly the same as far as i know. just don't replace them if not needed.
-i need some help with a music system that can change depending on where you are or what you select.
i have run out of ideas so anything would be helpful
omg the map looks lame right now but to be honest i would like it to be 10 times as big.
-when making multiple scenarios in a campain
is it possible to save some sort of data that can activate certain triggers in the next scenario?
now for the context of the map itself.
i have built a leveling system that goes up to 5 so far with no known bugs. I chose not to make it based on experiance mainly becouse it would be to advanced for me. but rather kills. which keeps it simple. a message will show and the quest trumpet will sound informing you when you have gained a lvl. you do ofcourse gain both hitpoints and attack points when gaining a lvl but so does the enemies just to make it a little bit harder.
i am currently building a quest system where you can chose if you want to agree or not and have better rewards at higher level and such the quests are harder. although due to bugs that i have noticed there only are one quest in this DEMO which starts automaticly in the beginning.
although only avalible in one stable so far, my system allows as many as the game can handle so it leaves room to expand it. i thought it was a cool funktion to have so i made my own system for it. the strength of the character while mounted is as when not based on equiptment and lvl. i think it added up to close to 20 triggers last time i checked so it aint so terribly bad.
here i found a system that suited me. i cannot remember who made it but as far i can see it works just fine with some minor modifications.
i added a funktion of removing the possibility to buy/mount/unmount a horse while wearing armor due to a bug where you would lose the benefits of the armor while still wearing it and permanently lower the characters hp/att.
i have made a chance generator which adds the possibility to fail getting something out of that rock or among the fishes. a really simple contraption controlled by timmers and a man patrolling. i als added the posibility to sell the ore or food at any town.
i aint really pleased with the system i use now as i want the ability to select the song playing and changing songs depending on where you are. now it is just two songs looping which comes from DOW and medivina or what it is called. in the next version i will change that to my own music though.
You said AoE... This is AoKH. Are you just referring to AoK as AoE? Im asuming you are since Tanneur approved this. ;)

HP, it's prolly because he doesnt know about the abbreviation AOK yet. AOE II should be what he meant, since AOK is actually AOE II ;p Anyway, I love RPGs so sounds good ;]

No, its not even that. He simple says aoe because it is a age of empire game. So he is not confused. He probably does know of the abbreviation but just likes to call it aoe.
I really like the authors progress. He says that some parts are a bit difficult, i still encourage him that he should continue.
I really hope the author keep motivated to finish this. It will surely give the author a whole boost for further projects :)
