Grand Theft Horse - Trazeng (v1.5)
This is a free-roam scenario, where you can explore the city the way you like. You can get money either by killing people, or by making various jobs. With this money you can buy all kinds of stuff, e.g. weapon upgrades, armor, a house or even bribe the local police.
Just remember, respect is everything!
The main factions in GTH - Trazeng:
The Police:
They are trying to keep the high crime-rate city of Trazeng in order. This is a very difficult task, as criminals are everywhere in the city. The Police-forces are friendly to you as long as you don't commit crimes.
Saracen Mafia:
They are the Police-forces' worst nightmare, as they are terrorising the city and making illegal money. They are in open war with the Police, and fights between the Mafia and the Police is a piece of everyday life in Trazeng.
International Killing Money:
IKM is an halfly legal organisation that makes it's business out of weapons and armor. They are not bothered by the Police-Forces, because they are an important "sponsor" of the City of Trazeng. They will also give you money for every person you kill.
[The sequel to this scenario, "Grand Theft Horse 2 - Jihang", is now also available for download in the blacksmith.]
[The second sequel to this scenario, "Grand Theft Horse 3 - Arlenia", is now also available for download in the blacksmith.]

In Grand Theft Horse - Tranzeng, Guy, a French soldier, has had enough of the war against the Britons. He finds Tranzeng, a city with a high crime rate, and decides it would be the perfect home.
Playability: 4
This scenario is extremely entertaining. There are two ways to win: either obtaining 10,000 gold, or making 250 kills. You can get gold from killing until the IKM (International Killing Money) runs out of money, mining gold, or robbing banks. Named criminals and Elvis impersonators give even more money when you kill them. There are tons of features in this game, some of which I haven't even tried out yet, and maybe even some I haven't even discovered yet! You can buy houses with a bombard tower attached, and if you find all 4 ES Flags on the map, then you can unlock the secret Medieval Tank. However, I give Playability a 4 instead of a 5 because it constantly crashes Age of Kings. Maybe there are too many units on the map? Another bug I discovered is fairly harmless; I got 10 "heat" (measured by wood), died and was sent to prison. In the prison, I killed a few of my fellow inmates. After getting out, the police almost immediately reswitched me enemy, the "Global Enemy nr 1" message displayed again, and I had ELEVEN heat. Isn't the max supposed to be 10? More funny than anything else though, so I won't mark you down for that.
Balance: 5
A lot of enemies out to get you: there are criminals and bandits that attack you, and when you kill them the police will get angry. The more you kill, the more police will be after you If you kill enough people, you'll get declared as Global Enemy nr 1, and the police will eventually even send the army after you; bombard cannons in the street trying to bring you down, etc. It isn't very hard to win, though, if you sharpen your weapons until you can do 200+ damage and 1 hit everything, but you can still die due to the number of enemies out to get you. Once, I died when I only needed to kill 20 more to win.
Creativity: 5
This is a really unique scenario. I believe it's the first of it's kind to be completed and uploaded to the blacksmith. The police radio messages were also creative.
Map Design: 4
I'm usually don't pay attention to map design and such, except when it's either really terrible or really mind-blowingly awesome. I had no real problems with the map; the building placements were nice to look at, I suppose.
Story/Instructions: 5
The opening story was fun to read, there was a nice intro bitmap, and I really loved the sound effects. The police radio was entertaining, as well. I liked reading about how there was a big, bad yellow psychotic killer with a horse loose, and how some infamous criminals were suddenly "found dead", and the messages requesting police backup at mafia assaults and robberies were interesng.
Additional Comments:
I would recommend this download to everyone looking to kill a quick 30 minutes every once in a while. This scenario has good replay value, and is extremely fun to play. The only bad thing is that you have to put up with some crashing every once in a while, but if you save often, it shouldn't be a problem. |

An extremely entertaining scenario with two ways to win.
1. Get 10,00 Gold
You can get gold from killing until the IKM (International Killing Money) runs out of money, mining gold, or robbing banks
2. Get 250 Kills
You could just kill anyone really
I really enjoyed going round the city killing people and running away from the Police and the Saracen Mafia. I could do buy upgrades from the IKM and buy horses. There were also some secrets like the Medieval Tank.
Balance: 5
A lot of enemies out to get you; there are criminals and bandits that attack you, and when you kill them the police will get angry. The more you kill, the more police will be after you. However you can buy stuff from the IKM which will help like better Armour and protection from the Mafia. I played on moderate and everyone just came at me all at once. I really strugled to survive.
Creativity: 5
This is a very unique idea. GTA; AOK style. Everything from GTA (except the sex) pushed back into the past. This is the first of its kind. I also thought that the Police’s Radio messages were very clever.
Map Design: 4
The city looked really nice. There was some nice Eye-Candy and good uses of GAIA Objects. There was some good use of different Terrains and the moving people made a big effect.
Story/Instructions: 4
The opening story was fun to read, there was a nice intro bitmap, and I really loved the sound effects. The police radio was entertaining, as well. I liked reading about how there was a yellow Maniac Murderer on a big Yellow Horse. The messages also requested police backup at mafia assaults and robberies. The Instructions and hints were clear and helped me through.

Runs much faster then the 2nd GTH..(Not a complaint) The biggest Difference is the amount of people walking around....It does lag some but it does not have a critical error when it lags alot. (It could be my computer) The playability is very entertaning as it reminded me of me old grand theft auto days.
Balance: 5
this campaign reminds me of the first grand theft auto...Everyone hates you, police hunt you, and gangs want ur buisness.
Creativity: 5
Very Creative. Trazeng is such a big city full of interesting places.
Map Design: 5
Wow! I thought GTH II was great...But this is amazing! A very good use of many kinds of landscape and buildings make you feel like your in the middle east.
Story/Instructions: 4
The story was real solid...But the instructions were kind of rusty...
Additional Comments:
Cannot wait for GTH 3 :3. Excellent campaign.[Edited on 09/12/12 @ 06:49 AM]
