I tried to make this map as balanced as possible. It is a random map script and therefore is different every time.
The two teams are divided by a dry river bed that runs down the centre of the map (the water on this map is not dockable), the receding water has left deposits of gold and stone accessible, creating a pool of resources in neutral territory, giving the choice of claiming them early at the risk of overspreading, or waiting till later at the risk of missing out. A succession of relative choking points are generated between the vegetation that has grown in centre of the river, the edges of the river itself and the forested banks.
This map is suited to human vs. human games and works well as a team game. Computer players are not able to bring the tactical design in to play. Each team is given a hunting wolf. Since there is no dockable water, navy civs are disadvantaged (I personally feel that the navy aspect of AOE2 is not well developed).
Hope someone enjoys this, took me a while to get it to work the way I wanted it to.
It's a pretty good attempt for a map script, but... It lacks some fundamental stuff, like straggler trees, I didn't see any. Also, the gold and stone placement was kinda messy, and the forest looked too sqaure at some parts of the map... not to mention the unrealistic bamboo at the arid river... anyway, I would give it an "Average" if this site supported public votation :D
