I made this city for a multilayer scenario I was doing where players had to defend it against one another, however I didn't see the harm in submitting it to the blacksmith for other people to draw inspiration from and maybe even use for their own single player scenario! Please view the labelled map by clicking below and see all the different features of this huge city!
Oh, and don't comment saying "you wouldn't get that sort of fish in southern america" or "mayans didn't have horses" because I'm submitting this as a utility for anybody to use and if you don't like a certain part of it... Just delete it! Have fun!
Plasmaflow’s South American city is Hu8ge and Very Detailed. It is a massive city built on a Giant map. It is built for the Aztecs and Mayans so it has lots of cool Mesoamerican eye-candy and jungles. The city has large river running through it splitting it into two different sides, the North and South side. There are bridges going across the river which allow both Units and Boats to travel across. Plasmaflow has map copied some Castles and Monuments together to create some very nice looking buildings. The city overall is very nice but it has a few issues.
The City has barely any terrain mixing in it. It uses a lot of road and plain grass. Also not all of the buildings fit into the Mesoamerican theme. There is a British Port in it and there are some Berserks and Genghis Khans in the City. There is also a Beta ship that doesn’t fit in. Also on top of a huge hill is a Dome of the Rock which really looks out of place.
On the Mapshot that Plasmaflow shows to use he says there is a small part which he instead to use for Multiplayer. This part can be removed to create more space for you but it has one very cool map design trick. It has Kings standing on water. It’s not shoreless water that units can walk across it is real water. It is a very clever Map trick that I would really like to know how to do.
A very detailed city which has a few issues. All in all a very good map and if you struggle with your map design use this for your city.
