The scenario is invalid and plays only from the editor. Playing from Single Player, Standard Game, Random Map, Scenario, and clicking the scenario after that, only part of the scenario's name displays in the box under 'Game: Scenario'. After 'Start Game' the player gets the message, "The selected scenario is invalid". The reason, the name of the .SCX file is too long, the limit is about thirty characters for the game engine. “ADVANCED Soldier Training Tutorial - By MixenDixon” is too long. ;-)

I've found a very good way for that (the weapons, bows, but not armors unfortunately).
I'm making a realistic defend the spot (a village which need to be defended against superior troops while you are just in feudal age). and you have an armory and a fletchery.
I'm not gonna tell everyone the details of my 'solution'... People will see when it comes out :)

It might be handy for you, especially for the spear and bowmans you can create.
You'll need Renaissance however...

You were saying that if you had multiple villagers on there at once it wasted resources? Just add a condition of a 5-second timer, and task the newly-created unit.
