Opening comment: Very nicely done, I must say. This scenario is based on "The Riftwar Saga". I do not know who it is by, one of the player comments by Tanneur99 includes the author's name though.

Playability - One of the best aspects. The units were kept quite simple, so that you didn't have to micromanage an entire army with 12 different types of units and only 3 of each type. The "heroes" added a nice RPG aspect as well.

Balance - This was the worst point. The opening battle is among the best battles I have seen. It could not have been more balanced to be blunt. When I played, although I lost a large part of the army, I still managed to win with some luck. However, once you reach the Tsurani, it becomes impossible. The quick recreation rate makes the scenario insanely difficult to beat, and while you don't have to destroy the Tsurani (impossible with the trigger anyway), the large numbers of soldiers make it very difficult (I found it impossible in my attempts) to reach the gate.

Creativity - I have never read this book, so I cannot say it was copied in any form. However, the idea as a scenario was still very good and creative.

Map Design - The second aspect that I loved. The map had some gorgeous terrain mixing, which gave the entire forest an autumn-like feeling. Not that an autumn like feeling is any better, but it gave the feeling of a season, which is good.

Story/Instructions - The Story could be developed more. The scenario might try to turn the entire book into a scenario, instead of only this one summary/scene. The Instructions were also very clear.

Closing comment - This campaign was nice and short, yet offered intense fighting and kept me interested right to the very end. However: Since there is no hero with janissary attributes, I will assume the monks can and will convert Macros, which cannot be stopped as they have the higher range and can hide behind the treeline. Take out the monks, is my suggestion.
clayperboy This is an extremely hard game to play , and maybe impossible to win , as after numerous attempts i gave up . It's an exciting game (no shortage of action). I couldn't give it a good rating on playability however ,it's more like a slaughter.
Sorry but there is no balance ,as you are greatly outnumbered ,with one monk and no villies to build anything. The designer is definetely creative ,and i hope he continues to submit.
Map design wasn't bad , but nothing out of the ordinary. there was not much in the way of a story ,as i couldnt't even get to first base. A couple of villagers ,would have added much needed balance , and possibly made this an "edge of your seat" game.
