The peaceful hunnic tribes had lived in the arabian oasis's for centuries, carrying on the traditions of our ancestors, gathering up vast piles of shiny rocks and duller rocks too. One day mighty horsemen swept from and spread doom and desolation. Our people sent up cries for deliverance to the mighty spirits of our ancestors and received divine guidance! Our people seized many clubs and sticks and rush fourth to vanquish the enemy....but it was for naught....
That was funny and entertaining, if short, game, Cataphract! I loved the comments throughout. Your opponent was obviously very good so there was no need to handicap yourself by staying in Dark so long. I assume this wasn't a serious experimental tactic but rather you were just messing around for fun.
I was impressed from watching both sides how fast you were able to manage things. Which shortcuts do you and your opponent regularly use to research techs and jump to production buildings?
My wife agreed to play against recently on the condition that I was the Vikings w/ 100 pop limit and not progress beyond the Feudal Age. She wisely chose Teutons and kept me at bay with TC and tower fire long enough to make it to Castle and then Imperial. Then, of course, she crushed me! I did my best to gather like mad and produce the proper counter units but Feudal spearmen and archers just don't stand up well to a hoard of massed paladins, monks and trebuchets!
In any case, thanks for sharing your game and best luck collecting those shiny stones next time.
