The Holy Land 1.2

Author File Description
File Details
Version: The Conquerors
Style: Build and Destroy
This scenario is based upon the crusades but is not a true to life depiction of the history of the crusades. I hope you have fun.

+ Detailed map of the Holy Land.
+ Fight as Richard the Lionhearted along with the Knights Templar and the Crusaders of Edessa against Antioch and Jerusalem.
+ Detailed cities (not historical tough)

NOTE: This scenario is free to edit. I was not able to rename characters or to add many triggers because I had a nasty bug shutting down Aok_X1.exe :s.

Please comment so that I can improve the map.
If you want to help me add triggers and cutscenes, feel free to comment me.

- triggers added
- some new stuff
- more detail, improved victory conditions

Update 2:
- More difficult (more aggressive AI)
- More map detail
- New triggers

The player should destroy some castles but you set victory to standard. The ally Knight's Templar builds a wonder and you win building up, change Victory Condition under Global Victory to Conquest and look into Diplomacy, for example, player 8 is ally to all while player 1 is neutral to 8.

Thanks for the comments.
Was there something positive ? :)

Into the Holy Land v1.1
- Added triggers and renamed things
- Player 6 won't build a wonder now
- victory set to conquest
- ...

I will fix it.

There was something or better there were a lot positive aspects, the excellent map design. It was a pleasure to reveal the map during game play and I was disappointed when I won in Jerusalem without having seen all. Of course, I reloaded and used Marco and Polo to view the rest but that is not the same.

The negative aspect, it is too easy. Two reasons, which are easy to fix, Player 8, the Syrians is still ally to all and the AI choice. All enemies have the Advanced Immobile Units AI while the player builds up as well as his ally Player 6, Knights Templar with the Standard AI. The other ally attacks with his Aggressive AI Personality. Give at least to Jerusalem and one other enemy the Standard AI and a town center with some villagers and test the balance. Change the Diplomacy of Player 8 to enemy for Players 1, 3 and 6.

You set the diplomacy (e=enemy a=ally) as below but for a correct Diplomacy the horizontal and vertical sequence of a player should bet he same for your scenario.

x 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
1 x e a e a a e e
2 e x e a a e a a
3 a e x e a a e e
4 e a e x a e a a
5 a a a a x a a a
6 a e a e a x e e
7 e a e a a e x a
8 a a a a a a a x

For player 8 try this,
8 e a e a a e a x
Arestes this scenario has great potential, but could use edifying. i'd give it a 3.9
