Hey all, I'm back without a Mac. I pretty much put my other scenario, Prisoner of Redura, to rest because 1) I now have a Windows and 2) I felt it was too much map for an amateur like me to fill in with triggers and such.

The scenario, He Harbors Bad News (One part of the Myth of Tershama campaign that will hopefully happen) is much smaller and simpler than my previous work, but I figured that's how I should start out. What I got was a scenario that's pretty decent, along with a story I think is pretty decent too. Bear with me, this is a small map and it's a pretty short scenario. It's definitely not as polished as some of the others out there (Even I sometimes see places in the game that seem rough) but I got most of it done this time. Criticism is appreciated and wanted. I'm always looking for things to improve on, and I'm quite certain there are a slew of problems with this one ;)

Note that I focused more on the beginning of the scenario more, so the end may have some kinks to work out, but again, comments and suggestions about anything are welcome.

Make sure to explore the town a little bit, I added a few "fun" things in there to make seem a little more real. I do realize there isn't much besides the two main islands, but again, this was meant to be a simple game that I could practice with. Have fun, and I hope you enjoy playing it as much I enjoyed making it.


P.S. Just put the .scx into your Age of Empires 2/Scenario folder

P.P.S I have no idea how the invading navy will work out, so something wrong may happen at the end :P

It is sad that you put Prisoner of Redura to rest, what about the Possible Frank Scenario.

Suggestions change Global Victory from Standard to Conquest. Two issues, the player can build a wonder to win or once he defeated the two enemies he has to change diplomacy and attack his allies to win. Give at least two more houses to the player. After receiving the triggered villagers I got 19/45 pop, need a transport to find gold and have to train 35 more units for the next trigger to fire. In order to do that, I must delete 10 out of 14 villagers. In addition, when I find the man who likes beer before creating the 35 units and attach canons I need three more galleons. I destroyed the transport and killed two more villagers to do. When I search for the lumber camp, an in game message suggests destroying harbours but they are ally, same for the lumber camp. Trigger 'Harbour becomes enemy' condition Object Visible, the object is easy to miss. ;)

I just finished working on the scenario more, and am glad to see I addressed a lot of the problems you mentioned in addition to a few others I found. Look for the complete scenario in a couple weeks.

If you addressed the problems, why don't you update? Looks like a couple of weeks passed, people wait for the finished scenario to download.
