this is a sample AI script that plays 1v1 arabia with vikings and all other settings standard (but hard difficulty).
My intention is to show a simple way to write an AI script. It exploits a single unused strategic number used as a marker of the game advancement. So almost all the script rules uses that strategic number to check the game status and to research, to build and to train units.
The result is a script i think it is very simple to learn and to modify: rules are very simple, all the script is based on the idea of "making this before", "then this", "then this", "...". Something similar to the scripting system of AOE1.
This is the related topic on AI scripting forum
The script is not so bad facing other AIs. The only part quite complicated is the town-size-attack system that i have taken from my "Valente" AI script. The dark age gathering balancing system i have taken from my "Lolol", that is simply a modify of the dark age gathering balancing system of the sample AI script at the end of all 14 pages of AIs in the blacksmith.
I have leaved the script quite easy. So there aren't complicated systems of counter-unit training or defenses from specific attack types (such as monk rushes, eagle-warrior rushes, etc)
