This map is meant to be played by couples of allies only (in single player you can ally with a computer).
One of the two starts with standard setup, the other with a group of random heroes and other fixed forces, he can't build but can attack early and protect his friend.
Odd players have heroes, so couples must be composed by an odd player and an even player (e.g. player 1 + player 2, player 3 + player 4).
Computer players are allowed, but remember to lock teams if there are any mixed human + computer couples.
Starting at feudal age is recommended, because it allows human heroes to research cartography and computer heroes to play aggressively.
Theme: 5
The concept of giving one player an army and his ally a town was quite interesting and actually worked really well with the heroes instead of standard soldiers. This can often lead to some intense game play early on.
Visual Appeal: 4
This map is not ugly or tasteless. It is a lot like the Ensemble Studios maps in it's design but it does have very nice design around the odd numbered players bases which, in my opinion, is worthy of a four.
Playability: 3
This game is fun to play early on but the "odd" players can often end up feeling left out after the initial excitement.
Overall: 4
Overall this map is fun to play but can get a little dull for the soldier-only player in the later game.
