This isn't that good, you could have added a bit more story to it, maybe add a few twists to it, or made itharder to win, u could have done heaps of stuff to improve it, and want does it have to do with the Legacy of a Templar and i think it should be called The Legacy Of The Templars? |

The correct spelling would be The Legacy of the Templar duck21, there is no plural for Templar, it is irrelevant if there is one Templar or if there are five Templar. ;) |

Well, umm, thanks for the comment, duck21... I guess that it is not very "twisty" or anything but it is meant to be a defend the spot so the action is kinda limited. I guess the title would better fit a campaign, and eventually I hope to expand on this scenario and make a campaign of it. Maybe I will improve this one more in the future. Are you an experienced designer? Thanks for defending the title Tanneur. |

"Legacy of a Templar" is a defend the spot scenario with a crusader theme.
Playability 2
I didnt enjoy the combat very much, the problem being the enemy sends only two unit;camels and mamelukes. Also, these units come in a steady, nonfluctuating flow so when you position your units correctly you will just kill them endlessly. I literally found myself sitting and watching nearly the entire time;throwing in a boss was good, i had to start playing and take control to fix things. The scenario needed more of that, stronger waves also, and even some time with no attacks coming maybe, giving the player a moment to reorganize.
Balance 1
Its incredibly easy, after putting two monks behind both of my unit groups i literally sat and watched the carnage, not losing a unit until the timer ran out. The camels are very weak against infantry, and the mamelukes get hard countered by your tuetonic knights and arbs, and the monks keep everyone healed with that sweet tueton healing range bonus. I got elephants and siege onager reinforcements, but just stuck them to the side and didnt need them at all.
Creativity 2
I actually like the main idea, having to guard an interpreter researching was interesting enough of a difference on just a random timer system. However not much was really done to differentiate it from any number of similar scenarios.
Map Design 2
Its sufficient for the gameplay, but the players main base is simply a chunky square island. There isnt much aesthetic appeal.
Story\Objectives 2
Its the basic stuff you would expect out of a defend the spot scenario, but the story about the why's and where's wasnt developed like in the best of this genre. A good story could make the player much more invested in the action.
Final Thoughts: There are plenty of good defend the spots out there, any of them with a good rating should be considered for a download instead.[Edited on 02/20/17 @ 05:42 PM]
