I tried making it beautiful. Great to play with good naval/tower civilisations, but I made sure every area was land accessible.
This is my first *real* custom scenario. Basically I had this fantasy about some pine forest with lake islands and what not...it's complicated. Don't ask.
Lots of rivers and lake waters for boating fun...forests a-plenty...hidden relics throughout the map, sometimes guarded by evil monkeys. There are also some lovely mondo stone and gold reserves to be exploited and fought over. I took care to make everything land accessible. I think there may be some problems if anyone should choose the Maya/Aztecs as far as the starting eagle scout (cav scout was not replaced when I tested the scenario). I put a lot of work into this to make it beautiful, so please don't trash it. DX
BUT that does not mean I am not open to constructive criticism. I would like to receive lots of reviews (hopefully good), and I wish you a fun time playing with this map.
P.S. It can be played with more than four players, but that is just recommended since the islands can only really be used by one civ, though the bigger one might be able to squeeze a second in. ^.~
This is my first map, don't trash it, but criticize constructively. |

You submitted a .CPX file to the Multiplayer category, which is unplayable for Multiplayer. Please edit your submission with a .SCX using the 'Update' button above your description. |

The map is playable only in Single Player, yes. But I checked it anyway.
Truth is, that Multiplayer scenarios without trigger interactivity are boring and no one wants to play them.
Thus, there is no point in creating a multiplayer scenario that's all about map design because everyone rather plays Random Map. |

Bleu Soul, you resubmitted the same .CPX file, this time to the Random Map section of the Blacksmith, Random Maps are RMS files, word documents. If you want this as a Multiplayer, it has to be in .SCX format. If you want it in .CPX format, I have to move it to Single Player, let me know. Your second submission of the file differs only in file title (I edited to the new title), description and short description (I edited new text into the existing one). |

Omgosh, I'm sorry! Ha, I thought when I posted this the file didn't go through or something. I'd love to edit it, but I recently just had the computer I'm using get re-formatted, and I had to reinstall the game, and I don't know where all the old scenario files went. Yes, I would like it to be put in single player, if that helps, but really what I want to do now is figure out if I can still play this.
I've tried putting the zip folder into the scenario folder on the cd, but I can't get it to open. I don't know if it's me or what, but if anyone could also tell me how to download and play this, I would be very grateful - it would mean a lot to have my first great custom scenario returned to me. =) |

Bleu Soul, you can download this file by selecting the red 'Download File' button at the top of the screen, just above your file description. To play the game unzip your file at the Age of Kings Directory (usually: Computer > C Drive > Program Files > Microsoft Games > Age of Empires II). You have to put the .scx or .cpx file in the Scenario or Campaign folder respectively.[Edited on 06/05/11 @ 06:57 PM]

Oh, thanks! I've been able to play it now, but the one I submitted back then was only a campaign file...I wish to play it as if it were a random map or scenario, but I don't have the original on my computer anymore because I had gotten my computer fixed recently (the process of which kinda deleted game files). Is there any way I can do that, using just the file I put on here? |

I've updated the file to include the .scx file. You should now be able to download the file again and open up your file from the editor. |
