This AI cheats a lot.. then it is probably made to go against Humans... that PERHAPS makes it not recommendable for downloading. |

Sorry, but there is no resource cheating at Normal Difficulty!! It only takes information about the map resources at the beginning of the game ! ( cc-player is always 0 (gaia))
This is a high performance AI ! not compareable with most other AIs (and there is a lot of work in it)
At the moment I m working on a Hun Special for population 150 up (it's quite more easy to develop it for one civ) |

I think RBX was testing in hard-difficulty.
Less chance for the last code to run... I think.
(Still I will be happy if you mention it could cheat even in normal or less difficulty.)
Happy to see a update.

Hi ARFFI
Thank you for your feedback. I have to give in that the cheating code is an uneducated child yet.
Of course you can change the code as you need. Since I do not play by myself, I have no idea what is the appropriate value for a satisfying gameplay. If you can make me a suggestion please mail to me. As all other good Ai it never cheats resources if playing excluding humans. |

I think the proper amount for boar-cheating, (a little resourche cheat included to compensate the boar bug in wich AIs are unable to hunt boars) I think you may copy the amount from IS_Machine, a well known AI that works well against humans too.
[Quote] from IS_Machine's explanation.
200 food is added at 8th minute and 220 wood is added at the beginning of the feudal age. This may be considered a cheat exactly compensating the unability to hunt boars for all AIs.

Usually, AI wars are held at "difficulty == hard".
This is why RBX(Tusher) was testing your AI in hard-difficulty. So, for first, I think no-cc-s should be used for "difficulty == hard". Also, the cc-add-resources should be used if there is an human "enemy", not an ally.
So, the code I think is proper is as bellow.
cf:Altair.per
; ============== COMPUTER CHEATING - Starting Goodies
(defrule
(game-time >= 480)
(player-in-game any-human-enemy); differ
=>
(cc-add-resource food 200)
(chat-local-to-self "cc-add-resource (food) 200 for difficulty")
(disable-self)
)
(defrule
(currnt-age == feudal-age)
(player-in-game any-human-enemy); differ
=>
(cc-add-resource wood 220)
(chat-local-to-self "cc-add-resource (wood) 220 for difficulty")
(disable-self)
)
#load-if-defined DIFFICULTY-HARDEST
(defrule
(true)
=>
(cc-add-resource food 100)
(cc-add-resource wood 130)
(cc-add-resource gold 80)
(disable-self)
)
#end-if
Also, this rule may trigger even without any human-players...
I think you may take it out.
;make shure to be a winner-candidate
...
(chat-local-to-self "some manna")

Thanks for the suggention.
I' ll try it out (with an disable self !)
The Ruler's Ai scriptings don't differ in difficulty except in adding resources if there is a human (enemy) in game.
Choosing it in game with Ais playing only you can select any difficulty, but Normal is recommended.
Have fun
PS All testing AIs used by myself don't cheat at all ![Edited on 09/03/09 @ 01:33 PM]
