The AOE3 title music is awesome. I think everyone agrees on that. But I was thinking, and I thought that to get a REAL taste of AOE3, you should have it on the AOK title page.

So I thought about it, and did this:

1) Go to your AOK main folder on your hard drive.
2) Open "Sound" then "Stream"
3) Make sure your viewing on "all files", and change "xopen" to "xopen2" so you can change it back later.
4) Get your AOE3 music file and change it to xopen.
5)Cut and paste into the "Stream" folder.
6)Open up AOK:TC and make sure music is ON.
7)Switch it on and re-boot AOK.
8)Listen and Enjoy. You can do this with all the stream files, but sadly I cannot figure out how to change the in-build game music

Enjoy!

This is interesting idea. I think I'll keep my game like this for a while. nice idea.

I believe the music you are refering to is stored on the CD-ROM making it somewhat harder to manipulate.

not really, you just need to extract the CD files, replace the music and burn a new copy.

It's stored on the CD as a music track. You need a special ripper and a special writer for it, both of which are hard to get.

And I'm not even sure whether it's legal...

when i played AOK with the Opossing Force CD in instead of the AOK CD it played OP4 music, so it might not be as hard as you think to get it to work...

If you put an Audio CD while playing the game, it will be used as music. Not that hard...

The opening music is OK...
