I belive we call those paladins. If you mean a guy with a 2handed sword on a horse, then I'd say not likely. They are unwieldly on horseback.

I think that would overpower them. Samurai on horseback would be pretty handy though. Civs without paladins already get good benefits in other areas don't they?, And horses would probably cost gold. I think there would have to be 90000 changes for that to be done, I don't mind the idea though, I think they should just balence them in fine ways, such as taking away an extra 30 wood off huns, this IMO would shut hun people up a little. Maybe that would be soemthing for AOE3 is mounting... Theres a lot of details, like what armour they mounted people would have, what would the armour be based on ect. If you just mounted for speed and nothing else, how fast would a militia be on a horse in comparison to a teutonic knight ect. IMO there would need to be a way to get actual horses rather than just using a builing, current units in this game all look the same, more the same, horses aren't all 100% the same. I also think that resources should be infinate, or atleast be more on maps than there are now.
