Now I have played many wide variety of games in my day. RTS's, RPG's, Simulators, and 1st Person Shooters. The games I find never get boring are the 1st Person Shooters. Age of Kings is an exception.

Basically 1st Person Shooters are all the same, but there are key elements of difference between them. For example the Half Life mod Counterstrike is very realalist, however Quake 3 is as far from realism as you can get. I for one prefer Quake 3, but that is just me. One thing most 1st Person Shooters have in common is the Rocket Launcher. In most games Rocket Launchers are the most powerful weapon. One game, Jedi Knight 2 Jedi Outcast is quite different. What makes this game unique is the art of the game, or the light saber.

Anyone can get the Rocket Launcher and frag people, or the rifle adn snipe people, but it takes real skill to use the saber and force powers together. It is almost an art form as you have 3 saber stances and hordes of different moves that you can complete.

So if you are considering a 1st person shooter that has an art to it, consider Jedi Knight 2 Jedi Outcast.

Let's see...the last FPS I played was "Command & Conquer: Renegade". I got really bored of it, though.

I like Unreal Tournament III, though.

Would Timesplitters 2 be considered a FPS?

I have the original Dark Forces, Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, and Mysteries of the Sith. (MoS is a "special edition" and only lets you play the first 3 levels though.)

No. Bad Jarl. Bad Bad Jarl. NO Penis ASCII.

Jedi Outcast is one of the best 1st Person Shooters, simply because of the lightsaber. With 3 lightsaber stances, and and a series of different types of jumps, walks, rolls, n such you can actaully make light saber moves. It is really awesome to get into a saber duel.

Quake 3 is a great 1st person shooter cause it is fast paced carnage. Never a dull moment in q3!

I have Return to Castle Wolfenstein, quality, but I for one prefer deathmatch, the scenarios do not appeal to me that much.

Deathmatch is like a free for all battle where there are no teams and one would just kill.
