hmm, looks like a moderately difficult lineup for your team.
but the Packers are not a team i would fear this year, nor the Cardinals, especially with Denny Green as coach.
the Bucs seems to be on a downward spiral and the Chargers haven't been a football team for years.
the Raiders and Redskins are both wildcards as to how well they might play this year as they have both made adjustments after disasterous seasons.
i would expect the Eagles to still be demoralized.
the 49ers have become a joke.
the only stiff competition i see are from your NFC South rivals the Saints and the Falcons, as Deuce McCallister and Michael Vick help make those teams somewhat of a concern for their opponents.
the Rams usually manage to play well even with the bungling of Mike Martz, provided that they have a healthy QB.
the Seahawks and Chiefs are both tough to assess, as the Seahawks were on an upward surge last year, and the Chiefs barely fell short, but were on a downbeat nearing the end of the season. both should do fairly well, but not to the extent of being unbeatable for the Panthers.
Stephen Davis is a good player, but has shown to be inconsistent at times. i won't make a prediction on the fate of the Panthers for this season, as they defied the odds in 2003, but i do not forsee them replicating success similar to what they had last year. but given a schedule that could very well be a pushover if things play out as predicted, the Panthers might yet again be contenders. just be thankful they don't have to play the Vikings this year.
