So I was surfing the web today, and found something strange going on in my state. D:
So, I guess "it was supposed to be a simple affair, perhaps 500 or so people at most, gathering in one area to show off their
dance moves, and see who could be the best." But one of the coaches of a dancing team, "The Velvet Boots", spent a night out on the town with his friends - and when reporters came to ask him about his team, he made many derogatory remarks towards the state of Washington and their performers, participating in the dance-off or not. After nearly being disqualified for such vulgar language and harsh remarks, he's been accepted back in, but not without repercussions. Because of the actions, many of Washington's leading performers have stood up and noticed the event. Some would call it a publicity stunt, others would call it pure luck, but now, there seems to be about 4000 people registered, and the number is growing. As of now, the coach has apologized, but the competition grows.
Here's the public apology.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
