Addictive Online Games

I, Cilibinarii have been raiding the internet for years to search the perfect addictive game, but all bored me after a few months of playing. Most of them were MMORPG's like RuneScape, the biggest cliché ever, or Tibia, a very primitive 2D MMORPG. After all these games I stranded at AoKH a few months ago, and it seems that I'm quitting this game. So, for other quitters, I decided to make up this list of addictive games (and one game developer).

ADDICTIVE GAMES SELECTION

- Tibia: The first MMORPG I have played. A quite funny MMORPG with over 100000 of players and a broad community which has good gameplay but VERY bad graphics. If you're bored you might want to try it.

- Silkroad Online: For people with fast internet, Windows XP or higher and 1 GB free space this is a must play. A huge, 3d world with excellent graphics and a very large community to explore. I strongly recommend this one.

- Kings of Chaos: A quite large browser-based game where you can choose between four races. Since it's long ago I've played this game I cant tell much about it, but it's quite addictive and you can play it together with other games. Recommended play.

- MaidMarian.com Games: MaidMarian is a game developing website with a small collection of online games to play including Sherwood MMORPG, a quite good-looking game with nice interface but bad gameplay. Quite nice to try once. Also MaidMarian features TankBall, a very interesting game and some social chats.

That's my collection of games. Hope you'll enjoy it, and 'till I return to the AoKH community again. Cya!

zBattle, anyone?

Actually, if anyone has tried it out, please tell me how it runs and if it's worth the time.

So you've come to drag those people down to the pit they're trying to get up from? Sick bastard, don't you know that's like bringing heroin to a rehab!

I've also found that two months is enough to get me tired of any game. With exceptions perhaps to Zelda and Chrono Trigger, but that's because I actually play them very rarely and they're long games.

Haha. I quit WoW easily.
I waited til my free trials ran out
and never renewed it.
Simple.
No withdrawals, no side effects, just more time to sit in a tank for 100 hours on BF2

Of course, nothing is 100% addictive to everyone who tries it. Even crack cocaine can be shrugged off by a small number of people.

I used to be addicted to Neopets. I had a super high level account with tons of awards and about 500,000 NP in the bank. What happened, you asked? Well, as a joke, I created a smurf account called Osama_bin_Laden, and the next morning both accounts were frozen. I guess they saw my Osama account, and then ran an IP check. Yeah, all that work, lost forever. Don't ever emotionally invest yourself Neopets.

Oh goodness! I had one of those lizard pets and oh man those games were fun... I think I had it pretty well but then there was a long time I couldn't get to the internet and when I could I'd sort of forgotten all about it. Fun times, though.
...wouldn't go as far as to say I was anywhere nearly addicted, though...? I was, back some years, really manic about Digger, though and I had my eyes on some million record but that passed too.

Meerca chase!

The main bitch I have with Neopets is it isn't really about pets. It's about powergaming your account and working your way up the social ladder. Most of the time I played Neopets I completely forgot that I even had a pet.

Still, it's sorta fun.

WTF, seriously?? That's like.. crazy.

I loved Neopets back in the day. And yeah, Fadawah is correct. Though I definitely thought about my pet a lot.. I was into training him for the Battledome.. that was fun.

I used to drive home after getting drunk, but I had to stop after some moms got "MA-D-D."

Yeah, most of the time I played all the games I was kind of thinking, 'Hey what's my pet here for?!' Basically you just had to feed it and that's that, I think? The rest of the game was, as fad said, about being bitchy. But some of them (pets, not bitchy people) were really cute.

I used to be addicted to RuneScape, and i've also tried World of Warcraft, on 2 seperate occasions. I paid for 2 monthes, and ended up only playing until level 12. I got back into it because all my friends started playing, and did the same thing. I realized, "Oh yeah, thats the reason I quit in the first place!" It got boring and tedious, just like most other MMO's.

I've met somebody who knew the creator of Runescape, they went to the same university as them. (Nothing at all to boast about, but why not mention it while we're on the line of "I know x whos knows y who knows a z who made n".

Yes children, with a degree from the historical and prestigious University of Cambridge you can do a lot of things, like become a leading statesman, an aclaimed academic; or found an MMORPG that is scripted in Java.

Or you could just drop out of college completely and become a billionaire businessman like Bill Gates.
