Our sad Dell story...
Bought 2 new Dell PC's - before they were a year old the power supply went out on one of them, we waited months for their technician (full service warranty) and they sent us a refurbished part to install ourselves. The 2nd PC had a faulty DVD drive that died the 2nd time it was used (another refurbished part.) Then the power supply went out before that PC was 2 years old (you guessed it, a refurbished part to install myself.) From the first day out of the box, both had some sort of driver problem with Sonic that must be fixed with a downloaded patch every time we restore one of the computers. The audio card on Slim's had driver problems out of the box, and took months to figure out and fix. Slim upgraded his video card, and it turned out to be incompatible with the power supply (had to reinstall the old card.) Both of us have had problems with 3rd party software that came installed that sometimes blue screened us at strange and random times. My hard drive died and another refurbished part to install.
