His number-crunching videos for some of the mechanics of the game are interesting, but I wouldn't take any real strategy advice from him, since he's an average HD player (he's a 1700 or so), so his knowledge of the game mechanics must likely don't translate well enough into his actual skill.

I really like Resonance22, the guy knows a lot, he used to have a good rating in Voobly (so he has the skill to back himself up, somewhat) and his very active and a good caster all-round.

The only one I've been following somewhat frequently is ZeroEmpires. Although generally I don't find multiplayer game commentaries all that interesting to watch, even though the skill level of the players is impressive.

I think it depends on what kind of content you're looking for. I'm not that selective, and I mostly watch AoK content for entertainment, so I follow ZeroEmpires, Spirit of the Law, and Resonance22 with about equal interest. T90 is the only other channel I'm currently aware of, but I don't have enough time to follow them all at once.

I follow spirit of the law because he is soothing calm to listen to and and a good voiceover. Accuracy is not why i watch and i no longer care that much about the mechanics of aoe2 to bother memorizing everything (i once knew almost ever bonus and armor each unit have. I was obsessed...)

Other than that... zeroempires? I dont really watch aoe2 vids much.

P.s. Im surprised nobody has posted a wololo music video

The only one I recall watching is ZeroEmpires since he has been mentioned a few times before plus I think he was in the AoKH skype convo. Maybe some hyper good guy's videos too for the sheer "how?!" -factor

I follow ZeroEmpires, Resonance22, Memb, and T90 most frequently, although my free time now wasn't what it once was. Resonance22 is excellent at making his videos accessible to newer and less experienced players while still providing solid insight, while Zak, Memb, and T90 generally tend to appeal to a more experienced crowd, I'd say. Memb's videos are absolutely hilarious, and I find myself consistently in stitches listening to his various catch phrases and animated commentary.

Spirit of the Law's videos and commentary aren't really applicable to competitive gameplay and are often inaccurate, but he brings a different approach to game analysis that I find rather intriguing, even if it should be taken with more than a few grains of salt.

There's also this Lord Basse guy whose videos on custom scenario design were pretty cool

I follow quite a bit of AoE2 YouTuers, Resonance, Zeroempires, T90, Memb for casters, TheViper is the most fun player to watch, Spirit of the Law has very entertaining videos although they aren't much more than entertainment.

Also there is that weird guy, Davastatar or whatever who promised lots of videos on scenario design. Given how long he's been preparing the next one it's gonna be great

BTW Lord Basse if you are reading this, the first relic of Athalen scenario is not available anymore on YouTube, which is sad because that's the most epic AoE2 video ever.

Yeah fave will be a lesser known youtuber called Devestator when he produces that video on creating units with

Spirit of the Law, but I admit half the reason I watch his stuff because of his calming voice.

I enjoyed DreaIVIS greatly back in the day but he hasnt appeared for a long time. Spiritofthelaw makes decent quality videos but his approach to game mechanics makes him untrustworthy in my eyes(watch his magyar overview video and compare it to reality, for an example) been watching viper and zero also as i guess most do.

Spirit of the Law is good for the analytical stuff. And I like numbers.

Viper can be fun to watch because I'm nowhere near his level, although his Campaign videos are quite entertaining.

Resonance does good commentary of other games.

ZeroEmpires and T90 are two I tend to watch for some of the tournament games.

Yup, me too. I think a lot of people probably are on the same page. Voices matter! Plus he's Canadian (I am too), so I feel a little more connected to him that way.

I pretty much only watch his videos for his stats/analytics, which can actually help in-game more than I thought it would.

ZeroEmpires is my favourite, followed by Resonance22. If they are co-casting, it's brilliant fun watching them and you always learn a lot. I especially appreciate Zak's work because it's the most polished.

I follow ZeroEmpires, Resonance22, Spirit of the Law and the Viper. Viper playing the campaigns has been super entertaining of late. I know Spirit's content can be sometimes questionable but I'm not really into the serious multiplayer scene so the inaccuracies don't really affect me too much (in any case I don't follow his advice that much ). I can't stand Memb in more than very small doses.

Also, YouTube is sorely lacking in good, entertaining playthroughs/let's plays of custom campaigns. Something I've thought of doing myself, even though I imagine the audience would be fairly small.

Resonance22 is nice as a person, but the streams (or youtube videos made from streams, for that matter) aren't always very enjoyable due to all the lobby sim stuff, HD bugs, etc.

On YouTube and Twitch, I would recommend T90Official. Lots of variation (CD version, HD version, pro games, normal player games, noob games, various settings) and a pretty cool guy too.

MBL (twitch) is another cool guy that streams a lot of his personal games, which is high level MP on the CD version.

kc_ereon casts a lot of Arena games on YouTube, so if you like this map (I do!), definitely check him out.
And for more Arena, there's JonSnow, also known as xTeRRoRx, a high level 1v1 arena player that often streams.

I'm not sure if all of them are active right now since it's been a while since I last watched any of them, but it's a good selection I guess.

If by maintaining you mean logging in every three months to check the comments, then yes! I have ideas for a bunch of new videos, but I never really have the time to work on them, unfortunately.

jordan 23 is back in action, he is a really high level player who does a pretty good job of explaining his moves. Would strongly recommend him
